With the start of school today I am in full on fall mode. Now if only the weather would cooperate (kidding, kind of, I do still love these warm sunny days). Sweaters and blazers and quilted jackets and ankle boots... I'm ready for all of it. Today I rounded up some GORGEOUS new arrivals... I wish I could snap my fingers and have them all in my closet, ya know? I hope you find lots of all inspiration here too.

It's new arrival SEASON! All my favorite retailers are launching new arrivals left and right for fall and it's so much fun window shopping and bringing you my favorites here on the blog. I'm so excited for fall and fall weather. It's been an awesome summer and we have had such beautiful summer weather but a little chill in the air kind of sounds nice right about now... you know? Plus, shopping for fall is one of my favorite seasons to shop for with so many gorgeous sweaters and textures like denim and suede and knits.  Let's take a look at some new styles that just arrived that I am loving...

block heel fisherman style sandals - my 90s self would have swooned for these and my current self wants to splurge on them for my younger self. You get my drift!?!?

cropped field jacket - I just love a field jacket for all seasons and this cropped version is a fun take on a classic. 

chambray shirt dress - such a classic and so easy to wear. Wear it with sandals, flats, sneakers, for date night or for everyday!

wide leg jeans - the wide leg jean trend is BACK and it's taking me a bit to warm to the trend but I can hardly resist with this cute pair!

lug sole loafers - this is another trend my high school/college self would have LOVED. And I love it now too! I'm excited to share this trend!

bobble sleeve sweater - fall is all about gorgeous textures for me and this sweater definitely caught my eye. It's just beautiful and a perfect piece to transition to fall.

striped tee - I never met a stripe I didn't love and this one is the *perfect* fall hue.

bucket bag tote - I have an ever growing handbag wishlist and this one just went to the top! It's gorgeous!

brown tank dress - In a fall mood but the weather isn't cooperating? This dress is perfect for warm fall days and you can pair with a denim jacket or cardigan when the temps cool.

floral wrap top - Give me all the florals for fall, okay? This one is gorgeous and would be perfect with high waisted jeans.

ribbed funnel neck sweater - Sweaters are my love language... this one is calling my name.

I'm all about these blue and creamy white hues for spring. Blue is such a universally flattering color and it's a great color to transition into the warmer months.  You likely already have some blues and whites in your closet that you can start pulling out to make outfits feel more spring like until the warmer weather arrives. It's the perfect time of year to start thinking spring with our clothing and all of these gorgeous pieces will make great staples for your spring travel and spring or summer weather.

 Today is a slightly random smattering of new arrivals I'm loving right now... they are all simple and classic. The twist is that they are a little all over the place as far as seasons go. I've got two feet in winter, but my mind is definitely wandering to spring. And it's the same with retailers right now. The stores are stocking some transitional pieces for winter to spring but also A LOT of spring merchandise. And I have to say, I don't mind one bit! Seeing sandals and straw totes and short sleeves is such a welcome reprieve from all the cold and snow we have here right now. So today I have a few pieces for now... and a few pieces for later. 

tank dress, tote with striped handles, striped sandals (on my spring break wishlist!), pointed flats, straight leg jeans (supposedly the brand & style Kate Middleton loves... they have been out of stock forever but are back!) , short sleeve bobble sweater, puff sleeve trench coat (too, too cute!), sweater vest/top (so cute with jeans & loafers for spring), striped half zip, straw tote (only $40!)

 I love the promise of a fresh start that January offers. I usually forget that it can also be a long and arduous month battling winter weather at it's worst. And it's been bad. Window shopping with spring in mind is a favorite activity this month to combat the winter blues... or at least it helps a little! 

I love finding items that feel FRESH this time of year and hint at spring but that also work for NOW. Soft hues that work on their own or layered are what I have my eye on. Soft and inviting pieces that are a little brighter than the usual fall and winter wear are just what I am craving right now. Here are some GORGEOUS new arrivals with just that mood in mind.

 I'm loving that fresh feeling of a new year these days... we've cleaned out closets and even our dreaded storage room (my least favorite chore) and packed away the holiday decor. We've also had plenty of snow - which I don't love, but I can admit does feel fresh and so cozy. All of it combined is that January feeling I just love. It truly feels like a fresh start - a much needed fresh start, at that.

square toe flats, I just got these in black (tempted to snag this color too). Square toe is going to be a fun trend for spring and I like that it's something different but still so classic.

Oh you know me! Just stalking my favorite retailers day and night for new spring arrivals... anything to help distract from all this cold and snow! Everyday we are closer to spring and warm weather travel... I can't decide which I am more excited for. Both, I guess!

I've got my sights set on some super cute new pieces for spring... here are a few new arrivals that have caught my eye recently!

snakeskin mules, I have had my eye on some snakeskin shoes since fall and I think they would be cute for spring too... and you know I love a mule! I find them to be so comfortable.

black tank, these are the kind of simple tanks that I love to stock up on for spring and summer. They are great on their own or layered with cardigans or jackets. 

white dress, I've been looking for a casual white dress for spring travel and summer and it's an item that can be surprisingly difficult to find. This one looks PERFECT!

white sweater, spring sweaters are a closet staple for me. It's just the amount of warmth you need when spring has arrived but it's still a little chilly - which is common here in the midwest.

floral blouse, florals for spring, groundbreaking! But seriously, who can resist a sweet floral top in the spring? This one would be so cute with blue or white jeans!

black sandals, I love the square toe and simple straps on this pair. These look so classic!

denim skirt, I've been looking for the *perfect* denim skirt for what feels like forever. Maybe this one is it!?!? I've heard good things about this brand and the length looks great.

New York graphic tee, if you love the look of the 'rock band' tees or the Anine Bing tee (which is quite pricey) this one is very similar with a great price!

new arrivals: Madewell!

New arrivals at my favorite retailers are the kind of window shopping that gives me LIFE this time of year. Ugh, its so cold and grey and these new arrivals feel fresh and hint just a touch at spring to give some inspiration to get through these final months of winter.

The newness at Madewell is definitely good! I'm loving the simple neutrals that can easily be worn now with layers or dark jeans and later with white jeans and less layers. Let's take a look at a few pieces that have caught my eye recently.

square neck blouse, this is GORGEOUS and would be beautiful with black jeans or blue jeans now and white jeans or skirts later this spring. The open neck reminds me that while I love turtlenecks, it will be nice to ditch them for warmer weather!

leopard headband, this is SO cute! Wear it now with sweaters and jeans and later with simple dresses or shorts!

petal embroidered sweatshirt, this is an adorable hint at both spring and Valentines with dainty flower petals embroidered into this sweatshirt. Some of the petals make hearts so it's perfect for Valentines but not overtly "valentines-y".

white straight leg jeans, I have a new pair of white jeans on my spring wishlist, this new cut in white looks CUTE! 

long sleeve dress, I am SO ready for dress season! This one would be perfect once the weather warms a little here in Michigan. If you live somewhere warmer you could definitely start wearing it now! I think it would be great layered with a denim jacket or even a long cardigan. 

cross body bag, this cross body style is so versatile and the woven strap in black and white is such a fun touch!

animal print tote, the transport tote from Madewell is the absolute perfect size tote in my opinion. I LOVE this leopard pattern which is so fun for winter or spring and it's a great price. 

black cardigan, wearing a button front cardigan like this one as a pullover is my new favorite. Wear it buttoned up and tucked into jeans now with ankle boots and wear it unbuttoned with a tank top and sneakers later this spring. 

petal print pajamas, this adorable print is too cute to resist! These pjs are just what I need after a winter of wearing 10 layers to bed - haha!

I'm seriously on the hunt for new arrivals these days! I'm desperate to infuse a FRESH feel into my wardrobe now that we are a few months into winter. Especially since we still are only about half way through - which is a discouraging thought!

grey turtleneck sweater - this sweater is just GORGEOUS and I love it's oversized feel. Its perfect with skinny jeans and flats!

puff sleeve sweatshirt - I love a sweatshirt. And I really love a puff sleeve lately. It's such a fun trend and in sweatshirt form its super easy to pull off!

camel sweater, this sweater is classic and simple and another great piece for all those New Year, New You vibes!

v-neck sweater - I love how this has a simple slouchy feel and it would be a great piece to transition to spring!

distressed jeans - this brand is quickly becoming a favorite for denim. Sizing can be tricky - I usually go up a size - but they are affordable and modern cuts. This cut is my favorite. A little stretchy with a straight leg to make it both comfortable and trendy.

leopard flats - I LOVE a leopard shoe so much lately. This pair is new and SO cute! If you are looking for a pair, this pair looks great.
