on my radar: January 2023!

I just LOVE the fresh start of a new year... it's so cheesy, but I do. It gives me such a good reset mentally especially after a nice long break for the holidays. I'm excited for all that 2023 holds, but also... for the fun new clothes too! I'll be honest! I'm looking forward to spring styles, new trends and fun new inspiration and I love to find inspiration in clothing. Today I'm rounding up some new finds that are inspiring me this new year... I hope they inspire you too!

suede bucket bag, bucket style bags are going to be a big trend this year and I love a tote and a bucket bag is like half a tote ;) so I am really into this trend! This suede option is gorgeous!

striped sweater, the striped sweater had a big resurgence in popularity this past fall. It's always been a classic and this one is here to stay during the winter and into spring. It's so easy to wear!

black checked coat, winter has me craving all the beautiful coats! This tight check pattern is so chic and is giving off major 'cool French girl' vibes.

brown cotton ribbed sweater, new year, same me. I just LOVE a good sweater. Especially a cotton sweater lately. The fabric is seasonless and so easy and comfortable to wear.

split hem jeans, a fun take on the classic skinny jeans! These split hem jeans are SO fun! It's also another way to ease into longer hemlines, which will also be making a comeback this year. I love an ankle crop, but I'm open to trying new things too.

pebbled leather tote, this tote just screams "New Year" to me. Simple and streamlined, beautiful and practical.  Everything I crave for my closet.

shearing lined Birkenstock clog, I might break down and buy these. I just love my Boston clogs so much and these would be perfect "house shoes" - and I would wear them out as long as there is no snow too!

straight leg jeans, these seem to be the style everyone is talking about these days. They have been in my cart for a few weeks!

heart bracelet, anything and everything with a heart, please. Especially near Valentines day!

sherpa toggle coat, I saw something similar on Shea from McGee & Co on her new Netflix show (it's so good and her outfit are SO good!) and I can't stop thinking about it. It's in my cart!

on my radar: February 2020

Here are a few fun things on my radar this month... February is a month where thinking about spring is inevitable but the weather is still very much in winter-mode. I'm all about hints of spring where it fits and these great pieces still work for winter for the most part. And then a few items that I'm already squirreling away for spring or spring break...

top row, from left:
heart necklace, I just LOVE Valentine's Day and this cute little necklace would make an adorable gift for any gals, teens, tweens on your list or even to buy for yourself!
chambray top, this is so classic and I think it would be adorable with black jeans now and with white jeans or white shorts this spring.
heart sweatshirt, I love anything with hearts on it and I also love sweatshirts... so you know this went straight into my cart!

middle row, from left:
grey cardigan, Madewell has the BEST cardigans and this one is a new style - looks so cute!
black knot mules, mules have become my favorite shoes over the past few years and they are a great way to transition so spring. Like pre-sandal season. Isn't this pair gorgeous?
white eyelet top, I bought this and LOVE it. It's just gorgeous. I went true to size with it.

bottom row, from left:
big buckle Birkenstock, I bought my first pair of Birks quite a few years ago and have worn them to death - and still love them! This year I am adding another pair because I love them so much. I just ordered these - and I can't wait to try them!
heart tee, again, love hearts. Love Valentine's Day. This tee is so adorable!
London sweatshirt, this reminds me of the LOVE sweatshirt I got last fall. I wear it all the time. Sometimes I go casual with leggings and sneakers or you can dress it up a bit with jeans and loafers.

on my radar: August 2019!

Each month I love to round up a few items that have been on my radar... it's no surprise that this round up has a lot of nods to fall.  I'm loving the gorgeous summer days we've been having but with the kids starting school in a few weeks and the "back to school" prep ramping up, I think I am ready. Plus all these cute fall clothes will definitely make the transition easier.

I just snagged this leopard sweatshirt and I'm obsessed. It's cute and comfy and will be so fun to wear this fall.

How about this cute tortoise earring set!?!? It's under $25 for all three sets!

I'm all about classic sneaks - this pair of gold accent Stan Smith sneakers this the BEST. And such a good price too!

I purchased these slit ankle high waist jeans during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and now they are back in stock! The slit is such a fun detail.

This black henley is made from recycled cotton! How cool is that!? It's perfect on it's own or layered as the weather cools.

Having a major "add to cart" moment with this bobble cardigan! So cute!

I can never resist a cute pair of striped lounge pants.

This black button front dress is the perfect transition piece from summer to fall. Wear it now on it's own and later with a cardigan or denim jacket.

I love the hardware on this nude tote - so classic and beautiful for fall!

It's easy to have mixed feelings on the bodysuit trend re-emerging. But I've heard great reviews of this striped bodysuit and it would be so easy to layer with a moto jacket or cardigan or blazer this fall.

So many of my favorite beauty products are on sale with the Beautycounter Friends & Family Sale! Beautycounter sales are so rare - be sure to take advantage of this one.

on my radar: February 2019!

February is nearly half over and each day thankfully gets us one day closer to spring and spring weather! Right now I'm ONLY thinking spring! I am loving all the new spring arrivals at some of my favorite retailers and I'm shopping for some new spring pieces for spring travel to warmer locales as I find items I love. Pastels, vacation wear and spring basics are top of mind while shopping these days. Here are some fun pieces that have caught my eye lately...

Any one else just dying to get out of town for a bit? This out of office tee tee would be SO cute for spring break!

I just snagged this pale blue stripe swim top & bottom for spring travel and it's SO CUTE. I don't usually go for the high waisted cut for a swim bottom, but I found this to be super cute and comfortable! I may be a high-waisted swim convert.

I am always looking for SIMPLE but cute spring and summer dresses.  This black ruffle sleeve dress fits the bill and the price is right too!

In my opinion, pink cross slide sandals are a no brainer! There are other colors available and the price is great on these!

I can always be swayed into snagging a pom pom straw bag - especially when it's under $35! Beach, here we come!

How about this striped sweater? I LOVE pink and army green lately and who would've thought to combine them with yellow and navy for a super fun spring sweater? I'm in love.

This simple bubble sleeve sweatshirt dress is IDEAL for spring... pair with sneakers or sandals for bopping around as the weather finally warms up!

It's difficult to resist eyelet in the warmer months... how cute is this pink eyelet tee? It's available in tons of other colors too!

I have a mild obsession with denim jackets. So when I saw this heart denim jacket there were definitely HEARTS in my eyes. I mean... so dang cute!

Spring calls for a new perfect v-neck tee - don't you think? Layer it with cardigans and jackets or just wear it on it's own or over your swimsuit for a cover up.

You all know I am in love with Golden Goose sneakers - I've got a pari of leopard Golden Goose sneakers on my wishlist right now!

Leopard is a seasonless staple - I love it for spring because it looks great with white denim. This leopard sweatshirt would look great with denim shorts too!

on my radar: January 2019!

Is anyone else ready to just MOVE ON from January!?!? This month has been trying from the start... I always love the feel of a fresh new year, but this year January was NOT giving me those vibes. I call a do-over and let's start fresh for February. What do you say?

I will say that one thing that was successful in January was the cleaning out and organization that happens after the holiday insanity. It felt good to clean out closets, my pantry, our storage room, kids rooms and even move some furniture around in my home for that 'fresh start' feel to the year.  I plan to continue on with that vibe for February too. At heart I am NOT a minimalist... but as I get older I do find myself tending towards living more minimalist-ish. I crave more neutrals in my wardrobe, less STUFF around the house and clutter can send anxiety waves over me. I took a break from shopping in January (except a new coat on mega sale) and instead shopped my own closet (seen here) and also gave myself some time to think about what new pieces I would like to purchase for spring.

Going into February I am craving neutrals and simple pieces that will have a big impact on my wardrobe and also anything and everything having to do with Valentine's.  Here are a few things on my radar right now...

My Apple Watch is almost three years old now (can that be right!?!?) and it's been on the fritz lately. Which has me wondering... should I get another Apple Watch or try a super cute smart watch like this one instead. I'm torn... what do you think?

A simple tie front top like this one is perfect for layering with jackets, vests and cardigans for the winter but will also be very cute come spring with jeans and sandals or even shorts (shorts! what I wouldn't give for short season right now!).

This leopard sweater is MAJOR love at first sight. This is the TOP of my wishlist right now. I love that it's perfect for winter - how cute would it be with boyfriend jeans? But it would also be a great transition for spring with white jeans too.

This L O V E necklace is giving me all the hearts in my eyes. It's a perfect little Valentines gift (hint, hint for husbands) or as a gift for teens/tweens or bffs.

I don't wear a lot of earrings but when I saw these wood hoop earrings (under $20!) I instantly fell in love! Aren't these so fun and unique? They would be perfect with sweaters and jeans now and just darling with sundresses this spring.

Like I mentioned, I am already starting my spring wishlist and classic sneakers like these grey canvas sneakers (under $60!) are going on my list. Sneakers were all the rage in 2018 and my guess is that 2019 will be the same - and really, they are so comfortable and practical, how can you resist?

The one purchase I can always justify this time of year is new fitness apparel. These camo leggings are so fun and it's a well known fact that new fitness apparel is ALWAYS helpful in making those workouts a priority.

For those of us that are perpetually cold (raise those hands!) - I am always looking for a chic extra layer this time of year. This grey poncho is gorgeous and looks like it would be super cozy!

Lately I have been reaching for the simple denim that I own the most. No fancy washes or cuts or distressing. Just a good old "regular" pair of jeans.  These classic jeans (under $80!) are just what I am craving.

Everybody loves Spiritual Gangster these days... even my daughter is hooked on their fun tops and super soft fabrics.  This "love" tank is perfect with Valentine's on the horizon and while it's technically a workout tank it would be adorable under a cardigan too!

This small cross-body bag has been calling my name for a few months now... it's so cute and the perfect little crossbody size for traveling or for busy moms.  The thing that has repeatedly drawn me to it are the super FUN color combinations and strap patterns. Each color way has such fun details... I love this white option but the PINKs are so cute and the red is gorgeous too!

on my radar: September 2018!

September is one of my favorite months! I love the fresh start of the school year with all the promise for routines and well executed schedules, I love the crisp mornings and warm and sunny afternoons and most of all... I just LOVE seeing fall fashion start appearing at my favorite retailers. There are SO many gorgeous fall knits, gorgeous fall hues and cozy pieces making their way to my online shopping cart these days and I'm seriously into it.  September weather in the Midwest usually calls for layers - with very cool mornings and quite warm afternoons.  I love that it's the best of both worlds.

Here are a few fun things on my radar this month...

I absolutely LOVE this pink cable knit sweater - actually I'll just take one of each of all the cable knits - okay?! Any one else with me on this?

I had my mind set on a few fall hat so I snagged this one... it's cute and comfortable and even though I don't wear hats a lot, I am trying to wear them more! (I also love this one!)

Layering is KEY for fall and this gorgeous gold velvet tank is perfect on it's own or will be great under a blazer, denim jacket or leather jacket for cooler weather. Isn't this color so pretty?

This past summer I was obsessed with t-shirt dresses... I love that I can take that obsession into fall with this long sleeve t-shirt dress. Perfect on it's own or it would be fun with a cardigan layered over top as well.

How pretty is this cross body bag in this mauve-y color!?!? It would be a gorgeous piece to add to any fall wardrobe.

Sneakers are my go-to "mom" shoes lately.  These leopard vans are SO cute, super budget friendly and so easy to throw on with any look to head out the door!

I love jeans with distressing and fun details but also sometimes a gal just wants a super simple pair of jeans in her closet. I love the vintage-y look to this wash.

I'm going to need this cable knit cardigan FOR SURE this fall. You?

My sweatshirt obsession continues with this floral sweatshirt - it's super budget friendly and would be fun with white jeans now... and distressed jeans with ankle boots later this fall.

Any one else just LOVING this "squad" tee? This would be super fun for family vacations, a girls trip or for a bachelorette party too!

Mules are like half sandal/half flats... and I can really endorse that! I love this pair of mules... they are budget friendly and available in LOTS of colors for fall, even a pink color I am loving.

on my radar: August 2018!

I'm prettttttty excited for fall, maybe you've caught that drift so far?!? ;) August is such a tricky month, the weather is always GORGEOUS summer weather but with school starting on the horizon it's like a split world. I've been shopping for warm weather duds since planning a trip to Florida in February... so I have to admit I'm ready to ditch the sandals and sundresses and start getting into some cozy layers.

For August I like to focus on transitional wear that works for now with sandals and tanks and items for later that will layer well for cooler temps. I've got A LOT of fun pieces on my radar this month... both for transitional wear and straight FALL.

suede red flats - I've been really into this orangey red color this summer... these flats would be adorable with a striped top now and with jeans and a cream sweater this fall! (shop more Madewell shoes here!)

backpack - I will admit I am slow to hop on the 'backpack purse' trend - but this one is GORGEOUS and I also think it would be incredibly comfortable while running errands. What do you think of this trend?

earrings - I'm SO obsessed with the new arrivals for fall from Kendra Scott. They are all SO beautiful! These earrings are feminine and edgy all at the same time and I definitely can see wearing them with cozy sweaters this fall!

funnel neck jacket - I am mildly obsessed with this oversized funnel neck jacket - it's available in 3 colors and looks insanely cozy for fall football games or other outdoor sports! It would also be perfect for throwing over your workout outfit before or after a workout!

grey midi dress - I love the idea of a longer dress for fall... it's just as easy as for summer, but with hints of the fall season. You could easily layer this one a cardigan, jean jacket or leather jacket with this one for a pulled together fall look!

grey tunic sweater - I am SO ready for a cool evening and some sweater action - who's with me!?!? This sweater comes in three colors and it's just asking for some leggings and a night by the fire! (shop more Free People here!)

high waist ankle jeans - I love this new LUXE line by 7FAM that features perfectly distressed pieces that look like you've owned and loved them forever, it the best way possible (shop more 7FAM here!)

chunky knit blanket - I snagged this blanket during the Nordstrom Sale and I can't wait to use it this fall! I'm seriously thinking about going back for another because it's just SO dreamy and soft!

camo sneakers - Just like my kids, I crave a new pair of sneakers for the back-to-school season! This too-cute camo pair is under $50 and perfect with skinny jeans and tees or sweaters for fall!

delicate ring set - A friend of mine was just wearing a similar set of delicate rings and I totally fell in love with them.  I love how unassuming and simple they are - this set comes in gold, rose gold or silver. It would be fun to mix and match them too! (shop more delicate rings here!)

on my radar: June 2018!

Oh sweet, sweet summer... how is your summer going? I can't believe June is already half over. It's flying by so far. I am LOVING the warm days and the relaxed pace.  With that in mind... here are a few fun finds that are on my radar this month!

top row, from left:
This lightweight robe is perfect for summer... I mean blowdrying my hair in this heat is quite the adventure, am I alone!?!? This is perfect for keeping cool while getting ready!
We spend A LOT of time at the beach and pool this time of year and we can never have enough beach towels - how cute is this big circular beach towel? ADORABLE.
I'm all about staying as cool as possible... this pink tank is GORGEOUS and perfect for super hot days!
Our entire family is absolutely loving the new safe sunscreen that comes in spray form from Beautycounter (it's non-aerosol and reef safe!) and is super easy to apply.

middle row, from left:
The NEW Beautycounter Overnight Resurfacing Peel is one of the best new beauty products I've tried in a while. And I try A LOT.  After one use my skin felt super smooth and soft both right after I applied it and still the next morning and after using it a few nights in a row I can definitely see a difference in the brightness and softness of my face. I've used similar products but never one as SAFE as this one. I can't recommend it enough.
This v-neck tee is a staple in my closet - it's sold out a few times - but its BACK in stock! They are so soft and easy and NOT see-through at all. I just love wearing them. It's available in tons of colors and under $20! So you just can't go wrong!

bottom row, from left:
I love this striped hooded top for chilly summer evenings or over air conditioned stores. I always love having a comfortable and lightweight layer on hand this time of year just in case!
I've had my eye on these pink sandals (they are available in LOTS of colors) and they JUST went on sale! Yay!
I've been looking for a white swim cover up and just found this white maxi swim cover up and had to order it right away!
These denim shorts are getting A LOT of wear lately. They are so comfy and flattering with the high waist. I usually size up in denim shorts to get a slouchy fit but with the high waist I went with my usual size and I love the fit!

Tuesday, May 8, 2018

on my radar: may 2018!

Isn't May the best? It's sunny and warm, but not too warm, the days are nice and long but the kids are still in school (fellow moms, you catch my drift!) and you know the whole summer still can stretch out in front of you! I'm already enjoying weekends in the backyard, busting out the white denim, wearing sandals and finally letting the breeze blow through the house after being cooped up all winter.

These are a few fun things on my wishlist this month with all things summer in mind!
top row:
The new Gal Meets Glam collection at Nordstrom is SO gorgeous. It's difficult to choose a favorite but I think this lavender clip dot dress is the standout for me. It's perfect for summer weddings, events  or graduation parties. It's girly but not fussy and would look gorgeous with a pair of espadrilles or nude heels.

I always love a good spring sweater for cool evenings or rainy days. I have my eye on this cream spring sweater - it looks perfectly relaxed for pairing with jeans or shorts and sandals for dinner out or a rainy weekend at home.

This tie back striped tank is definitely going to be a spring and summer staple for me. It's perfect for super hot days or those sunny days spent at kids outdoor sports events.

I LOVE white jeans and this pair of white button front jeans is SO CUTE! These are definitely on my wishlist for spring and summer! The high waist is so flattering too.

middle row:
These pale blue suede sandals are so simple and gorgeous and they are available in four different colors. They look so comfortable and the pale blue would be a fun neutral that's unexpected!

How do you feel about the back pack trend? I was a little iffy on it, until I saw this cool back pack. I could definitely see myself wearing this out and about with the kids this summer.

bottom row:
Time to swap out your heavy pajamas and lounge wear for lighter pieces for the warmer weather. First up for me? This striped robe. Perfect for layering over pajamas or to wear while getting ready (anyone else dreading blow drying their hair now that it's warmer!?! This is the perfect wrap to wear to stay cool!)

Have you tried blue light blocker glasses yet? They are supposed to guard your eyes from potentially harmful blue light from screens. I'm intrigued. And also it reminds me of the BLUE BLOCKERS of 80's informercial fame - remember those!?!? These are MUCH cuter!

I've been obsessed with this straw tote since I first laid eyes on it. It may be my Mother's Day gift to myself. That's perfectly acceptable, right!?!

How adorable is this simple cinch waist white top? I love easy pieces like this for everyday wear. It looks so comfortable and easy. It would be adorable with skirts or shorts this summer.

Tuesday, April 24, 2018

on my radar, April 2018!

Spring is HERE ladies and I am pretty dang excited about it! This month I've got some darling spring pieces on my radar... here is what I am loving lately...
top row:
rose quartz face roller, have you tried a face roller yet!?!? I'm HOOKED after using it just a few times... there are endless potential benefits but I will say as someone who carries a lot of stress in my face (I'm a jaw-clencher, anyone else!?!) I feel like this is SO relaxing at the end of the day. I wash my face, apply my retinol, my favorite serum, then a combo of this night cream and this oil and then roll it all in and roll all the stress away. It's a great way to unwind!

navy ruffle sleeve cotton dress, how cute is this dress? I love how relaxed and flowy it is - perfect for busy summer days where you need a super quick and cute outfit!

pink striped pjs, I'm so ready to ditch all my winter pjs (bye, bye thermals!) - these striped pink pjs are just so adorable!

blue/white striped camisole top, this top is perfect for those super hot summer days - or wear it now with a blazer or cardigan!

middle row:
white Birkenstock sandals, I'm thinking I really "need" these cuties for summer - I never would have guessed how much I wear my gold Birks. A second pair will get worn and loved just as much I am sure.

pink hobo bag, I am REALLY loving this bag. The pink color is gorgeous but it is also available in black and under $70! You can't beat that for a new spring bag!

bottom row:
light blue ruffle swim cover up dress, I'm always looking for cute swim cover ups. I'm pretty sure this is the cutest one I have seen yet this season! I can't wait to hit the beach and pool this summer!

new balance sneakers, I'm obsessed with these shoes... they are a light pink almost like chambray material. They run a little big, so size down!

cream blusher, I've been slowly making my makeup routine more spring and summer friendly (read: fresh and EASY!) and I've been loving this cream blush instead of the classic powder blush.

ric rac detail bell sleeve top, this top is perfection for spring! The bell sleeves, the ric rac!! I mean, how cute!?!?

Tuesday, March 27, 2018

on my radar: March 2018!

My goodness has this month flown by... and I'm thankful for it, because that gets us one step closer to warmer weather.  I pretty much need all the warmth and sunshine in my life right now - I'm so ready for it! There are some super fun pieces that I've had my eye on this month (a few have even made their way to my closet as well)... I hope you love them as much as I love them!

top row:
I snagged these sneakers last fall in black and I LOVE them SO much that I got them in this nude, they are incredibly comfortable (although I did find both pairs need a little breaking in, but once they are broken in, they are so perfect!) and they work with jeans and sweaters as well as throwing them on to head to yoga or Pure Barre.  Even with the chunky heel I find I can wear them for long amounts of time and even travel in them quite often.  I just can't recommend them enough! (The price is a little steep, but here is a less expensive option)

How cute is this beach cooler tote? I just picked this up for spring break, I love that it can fold flat in a suitcase and keep all my drinks cold at the beach or pool.  I know this cutie is going to get a TON of use this summer!

This is the V-neck tee that everyone is obsessed with! I'm planning on stocking up on a few for spring. Plus, there are SO many colors available!

Isn't this the prettiest eyelet top? It's budget friendly and would be adorable with jeans and flats or shorts and sandals. It also is available in a few colors.

bottom row:
I'm really having a moment with denim jackets right now. I want to wear them all.the.time. - so of course I had to snag this distressed denim jacket. It's a STEAL and I love the gentle distressing that makes it look like a really expensive version. Get ready to see lots of this cutie on the blog soon!

The circle straw bag is the IT bag for spring and summer NO doubt. I mean it's just adorable and screams warm weather, so what's not to love? A few options are quite pricey, but I found this budget version that I can't wait to sport on spring break this year. (edited to add: sadly this exact bag has sold out already... I've got a few similar options here, here and here)

If you are looking for the perfect spring cardigan - I can't recommend this one enough. I snagged it last spring and it promptly sold out - but it's back! I wore it in THIS post which is still one of my most pinned looks of all time.  I love it because it's incredibly soft and it's the perfect summer weight for cool restaurants or evenings. I wore it with tanks and tees, and it's great with dresses too!

I always loving finding a new pair (or two) of budget-friendly sandals every spring.  This pink suede sandals are just ADORABLE and the perfect price as well for real suede.

on my radar: February 2017

Oh February... you are good for two things: Valentine's (which is sadly over now) and spring dreaming... I've definitely got one foot in spring over here and anxiously waiting for some warm and sunny spring days. With that in mind these are a few things that are on my radar this month!

I just snagged this striped twist back top and seriously the back is SO cute! The way the back twists makes it quite flattering on the front too... I'm almost thinking of going back for one in a solid color too!

These bow flat sandals are SO adorable! I ordered a similar pair last season and they didn't fit and when I went to reorder they were sold out - so I definitely want to snag them this year!

I've been looking for a new spring jacket and I just purchased this cropped trench coat - it's adorable and I love that it's cropped as often times long trench coats seem to be overwhelming on me.

This cardigan seems like the perfect winter-to-spring wardrobe piece.  It looks cozy and warm but not too heavy or this striped cardigan is also super cute!

Investing in a new pair of white jeans is on my list for spring. I tried a few options last summer and really struck out and just quit - now I'm ready to start again (why are they so difficult to find?) and I just saw this new style of white jeans that is straight and cropped. I'm curious to give them a try.

The perfect spring or spring break clutch: this pom pom clutch!!! And it's under $30!

Any one else so ready to ditch the 4 layers of clothing they call winter pajamas!?!? What was "cute and cozy" last fall is now just annoying - I'm so ready for some summer pjs and these striped pajamas are just SO cute!

My spring obsession right now: woven flats.  How fun are these woven gold flats? They would look amazing with some white jeans and a little tan for spring and summer, wouldn't they?

on my radar: January!

Can you believe we are over three weeks into the New Year already?!?! I'm over here just counting down to spring and trying to stay as cozy as possible until it arrives.  Little by little I can see the light at the end of the tunnel for winter and that makes me a very happy lady!

On my radar this month are fresh basics that remind me of spring... but that are still (mostly) do-able during winter....

top row:
- Pink sneakers make me SO excited for spring!  These with jeans and tees are going to be a go-to style for spring!
 - Why in the world do I have such expensive taste in sunglasses?! All I was doing was trying to find the perfect tortoise cat-eye... is that too much to ask for? (ps, I'm totally obsessed with these!)
- Current mood until spring arrives: THIS grey top.  Question: Doesn't it look so cozy? Answer: #addtocart
- Have you seen the new spring arrivals by Kendra Scott? THESE earrings are so simple yet stunning!

middle row:
- If you need a budget friendly pair of jeans that are ultra flattering - I am LOVING these!
- Any and all cute sweatshirts can just be deposited straight into my closet right now. This 'SUNDAY' sweatshirt is so dang cute and the price. is. right.

bottom row:
- Everyone is raving about this lanolips lip set - have you tried it? I'm super intrigued!
- These bow flats are quite possible the cutest spring flats I've seen... well, since last spring! Stripes! Bows!
-  I'm all about the basics this time of year and this budget friendly striped bell sleeve sweater is KEY-YUTE!
- Need a pink clutch? Me neither. But, this one is DARLING and only $25. So I guess "need" almost applies here, right!?!?

on my radar... October 2017!

With cooler nights and shorter days October has me craving everything cozy and comfortable.  Snuggling up with a book on the sofa, watching a movie by the fireplace or luxuriating in a hot bath before bed are a few things, among many, that I rarely indulged in over the summer.  So while the kids schedule is a little bit more hectic this time of year, there are infinitely more ways to relax in the downtime.  This month the items that I am loving represent this cozy time of year... especially before the madness of the holidays sets in...

Read on to see why these pieces are favorites right now...

top row:
'juvenate' sneakers, I purchased these sneakers last year around this time and I STILL love them. Hands down one of the most comfortable sneakers I've ever worn... act fast though, these guys sell out quickly!
tassel scarf, after a few false starts it seems like fall weather is finally here to stay. That means I'll probably be wearing a scar for style AND warmth from now until spring. I love this tassel scarf and at such a great price!
floral pajamas, this is the time of year I definitely step up my pajama game... this short and top set is SO darling and perfect for sipping tea and reading in bed.
distressed jeans, right now I am craving ALL the distressed jeans and ALL the cozy sweaters to go with them! Who's with me?
plaid blanket, like I mentioned, there is a lot more hanging out on the sofa going on these days. And I don't mind one bit! Is it too early to add this plaid blanket to my Christmas wishlist?

bottom row:
robe, the other day on Instagram stories I mentioned this simple cotton robe I bought recently... everyone went nuts for it! So here is where I found it!
candle, I rarely burn candles in the summer, so I appreciate returning to the nightly ritual again in the fall. This is my favorite candle and pretty much the only one I will buy and burn around the house.
black turtleneck sweater, I snagged this black turtleneck sweater last year towards the end of winter and it's BACK! This gorgeous and soft cashmere blend is perfect for cool fall days!
pom pom beanie, cute hats make the cold weather (somewhat) bearable.  This cute is only $26 and available in quite a few colors!
pink coat, I decided I needed a pink coat this year... and really, why not!?!? Especially when it's under $50, pssttt... it also is available in 5 colors if pink isn't your thing.

on my radar: September 2017!

With the back to school (read: back to reality) season here and in full swing I'm started to get my head above water with life in general (read: work, finally making dinner again, laundry, school forms, etc). I feel like I am finally getting back to myself after the crazy, albeit fun, days of summer.  One of those pieces that is finally coming together is simply getting dressed again each day.  There is no more throw on a swimsuit and cover up type days (RIP) so instead I'm working on pulling together a fall wardrobe that is just as comfortable.  More than ever before I am craving comfort and ease in my everyday looks.  I think it's just the season I am in with life and motherhood.  Of course, I always walk the line of keeping my looks stylish as well... so with both of those goals in mind, these are a few things on my radar these days.

top row:
cardigan, with huge swings in daily temps I'm finding cardigans to be a wardrobe life saver lately.  50 degrees in the morning and 80 in the afternoon is never easy to dress for - thank goodness for easy layers!

crescent necklace, since I'm not in the sun all day or at the pool I am loving getting back to wearing necklaces and earrings on a daily basis.  How pretty is this one?

knot mule loafers, without fail my current style status is "grab and go" easy mules with adorable bows like this pair is perfect for pairing with jeans and a t-shirt.

jogger pants, any one else noticing that it's getting darker earlier now? Thank goodness for cozy lounge pants that can also double as "real" pants when I run the carpool or the early morning bus stop run.

tote bag, I've been looking for a new fall handbag and I LOVE this roomy tote in classic caramel brown... of course, it only comes second to this one that I can't get out of my head/heart but probably isn't in the budget right now.

'au revoir' sweatshirt, give me all the sweatshirts and no one gets hurt.  Who's with me?

bottom row:
'volunteer librarian' tee, (hands raised!) I'll volunteer at the library any day... I'm sure that work involves sitting and reading books all day, right!?!?

iPhone case, I purchased this iPhone case earlier this summer and I get SO many compliments on it.  Bonus! It's on sale right now!

chewed hem denim, these crazy hemmed jeans are my current obsession and this pair is perfect for shorties like me, they are the perfect length.  These will be coming to the blog soon or check out this less expensive option.

tassel scarf, who else is soooo ready for scarf season and I am loving this super affordable tassel scarf.  It's available in quite a few colors too!

sneakers, this mama needed a new pair of sneaks (just like her kiddos) to kick off fall this year.  I absolutely LOVE this pair!

tie sleeve sweater, okay the embellished sleeved trend just won't quit. But how cute is this tie sleeve sweater? I love the relaxed oversized vibe.

on my radar: August 2017!

I'm not going to go all "oh my goodness it's almost fall" on you today... well, actually on second thought, maybe I am.  Do I want summer to end? Yes and no. Do I want fall to begin? Yes and no.  The truth is that I'm a little run ragged this time of year.  As I sit here and type this I legitimately can not remember the last time I worked out - I mean, yikes! That's scary. I've hit my summer cocktail quota (sad but true).  My kids are officially sick of me - I won't comment on if the feeling is mutual.  And I really feel like we've done ALL.THE.SUMMER.THINGS.

This girl is ready to sit by the fire with a warm beverage, doze off during half-time of Sunday football and just SLOW DOWN in general.  I always think I crave an endless summer, but I just can't hang friends. I'm tired! Not that fall isn't just as busy with school back in session, it's just a different type of busy and right now, different sounds good.

With this state of mind there are a lot of casual and 'cozy' basics in today's post. The definitely reflect my current state of mind. Trying to slow down, trying to step back a little and definitely taking as many deep breaths as I can as we transition from one busy season to another.  So with all that in mind... here are a few items on my radar this month:

top row, from left:
tassel handbag - this bag is CALLING my name for fall. Simple, elegant and oh so beautiful. And it's not quite as expensive as this one I've been eyeing too.
oversized cardigan - this is giving me all the fall feels for sure. It's also available in black!
grey stacked heel slide - don't these just look so easy and comfortable for heels? Love.
Charlotte Tilbury Instant Look palette - not gonna lie, I pretty much need all the help I can get with makeup and this set has FULL instructions! I think maybe I could do this!

middle row, from left:
Charlotte Tilbury Unisex Healthy Glow - okay SO many bloggers are raving about this stuff! The before and after photos on the website are pretty awesome! Not gonna lie, I am pretty intrigued.
hoop earrings - the perfect everyday earrings!
essential oil diffuser - I love diffusing oils, especially in the summer when the ac is running all the time and my house starts smelling like hot, sweaty kids.  This diffuser is much prettier than the one I currently own!

bottom row:
'gangster nap' tee - this t-shirt gets me.  And the description on the website is cracking me up! Plus, how cute paired with a denim jacket for fall?
button front jeans - I just got these and LOVE them... plus if you are tall or short or in-between - they are available in several lengths. Perfect for us short - or you tall - gals.
relaxed neck sweatshirt - I could wear this from now until Christmas. And then some. Who's with me?
wool blend boyfriend coat - is it too early to start buying wool coats? Asking for a friend.

What fun items are on your radar these days I would love to know!
