The Nordstrom Anniversary sale ends TODAY! All the amazing NEW fall merchandise that is marked waayyy down today will see a spike in prices TOMORROW. So now is the time to stock up on jeans, bags, shoes, sweaters, outerwear and more for fall while these low prices are around.

But I thought I would round up one more set of sale pieces just in case you still have some shopping to do. I've hit the sale pretty hard this year - hello, fall shopping is in the bag! - but I may still grab a few more deals today yet. The prices are too good to handle!
The Nordstrom Anniversary sale ends on Sunday (just day away, friends!) so I thought I would take one last opportunity to chat quickly about a few more of my favorite finds there for fall... and seriously you guys. They are GOOD. Three of these pieces are already instant classics in my wardrobe.
When I first saw this gorgeous cashmere wrap for sale I knew it had to be mine... and when it arrived in the mail it was truly love at first sight. I've already used it in a cold movie theatre and for a day trip in the car (where I am always cold!) and you better believe that this wrap will be on every flight with me for the next 5 years or until it's absolutely threadbare. Whichever comes first. It can wrap around your shoulders, be worn as a huge scarf (winter - I'm looking at you!) or is the perfect car/airplane blanket because it's warm but lightweight. It's been going in and out of stock - so here is a similar one. Same with these wedge booties... they are super cute and comfortable and I can already guess I'm going to be wearing them tons this fall. Again, these too have been going in and out of stock - so here is a similar pair if they are sold out in your size. And lastly... this bag! I've been eyeing it and decided to pull the trigger because the price was so good. Aren't the gold details so pretty? Cross-body and saddle bags are going to be huge this fall and I love this classic style. It's also available in red!

My kids get pretty enthused about back to school shopping... the shopping gene must be a dominate one! They aren't so worried about name brands (yet!) but are more concerned with cool styles, jeans (that fit!) and of course, the piece de la resistance for back to school: the shoes! This year we headed to Nordstrom's Anniversary sale to get a big chunk of our fall shopping done. It never fails to amaze me how much my kids grow over the summer. It's hard to see how their legs and feet are growing in flip flops and shorts. But put them in jeans or closed toe shoes and suddenly nothing they already own fits them!
Shoes are always the big ticket item for fall in our house... my son wanted sneakers that were a little "dressy" and my daughter had a one track mind for fall shoes: ankle boots. Enter the kids section at Nordstrom and we were all set with one stop shopping. Nordstrom carries all the back to school necessities like jeans and sweaters and tees and tops. And if you are a parent you know (or should know!) that their kids shoe section is one of the best available. We easily checked off the "dressy sneaker" and "ankle boots" requests off the list with no problem at all.
My daughter picked out these Hudson skinny jeans (uh, suddenly she looks so old in these!) - she loved how stretchy and soft they are! And my son picked out a pair of DL1961 skinny jeans for boys - I love how sturdy these feel, since what boy isn't super hard on their jeans? In addition to jeans and sneakers they both picked out some fun tops... my daughter loves the floral detail at the back of this top and my son thought this Psycho Bunny tee was super cool and soft. (Are my kids the only ones obsessed with clothes that are "soft"? It's a total deal breaker for them!)
This next week is the FINAL week of the Nordstrom Sale! A lot of pieces are flying off the shelves... (super sad face!) but there are still some gorgeous pieces for amazing prices still available. This week I am sweating it out (literally! fall pictures in the middle of summer is brutal!) to show you some of my favorite purchases at the Nordstrom sale and highlight the styles you will want to snag now to wear all fall.
One of my favorite splurges at the sale is this pale blue handbag. It's perfect for summer (I've been carrying it around for a week straight!) and I can't wait to use it this fall as well. It turns out that pale blue is a great neutral and seems to go with everything! The leather is so, so soft and it's the perfect size for toting all my necessities and a water bottle and book too. Conversely, this sweater is one of my favorite budget buys at under $50! It's so cozy... I can't wait to wear it all fall. And let's talk about these jeans quick... they are my first pair of J Brand and I'm in love! The jeans are super thick and flattering and the distressing is just perfect.
This outfit is perfect for busy fall weekends or toting the kids around after school. I can't wait to recreate it this fall. Doesn't this make you a little excited for crunching leaves, warm apple cider and pumpkins? Okay, okay... maybe we aren't all there QUITE yet - but don't miss these amazing deals while dreaming of the beach. Because at this point in the summer I think we can all agree a few more beach days are in order! Right!?!

I recently snagged a little grey dress for myself (seen here) and I've loved wearing it for hot summer days. But the moment I put it on the other day I also had a lightbulb moment about styling it for fall as well. My style right now is very summer-y with all the heat and humidity we've been having... but my eyes are on fall style too. A simple grey dress is the perfect piece to wear now... and later. And here on the blog today I am showing you how!
I found this wrap detail dress for a great price and love that it's a classic and practical silhouette that is perfect for everyday wear. I bet this dress would also translate well to an office environment too! It's perfect to pair with stacked heels and a small tote for late summer and then you can easily layer it up with a jacket and scarf and ankle booties this fall. So easy, right!?!?

The Nordstrom sale is still going strong, and while some pieces are going quick there are still tons of great pieces at even better prices to be had.
This time of the summer I usually reach my peak of indulging in food and beverages and it all catches up to me. I've been terrible about working out this summer and with a good chunk of time until fall arrives I've decided that the reckless indulging has got to at least be met with some serious time working out. Am I alone!?!? I'm not quite ready for the reality of fall and I want to make sure that when it arrives I at least still fit in my favorite jeans, you know!?!?
The Nordstrom Sale has some AMAZING fitness apparel on sale right now and I am loving the gym-spiration these great pieces are giving me. Because we all know that new gym clothes making going to actually work out waaaaaay better! How perfect are these pieces for showing summer who's boss?
Today I am chatting about what I chose at the Nordstrom Anniversary sale... and ladies, let's be frank. It wasn't an easy decision. There is just SO much good stuff. Needless to say, this year I went a liiittttttle overboard at the Nordstrom Anniversary sale... oops.
Every year the Nordstrom Anniversary sale coincides with my birthday AND fall clothes are my absolute weakness, so, um, yeah... it's a dangerous combo! A few of these pieces are ones that I have had my eye on and was wishing and hoping would be marked down. A few are such great deals, I couldn't resist. And a few are just downright splurges, or "birthday" gifts. I have to say though, that this summer I haven't spent much on clothes, so I was also squirreling some cash away with hopes of finding some great deals at this sale specifically. In a sense I just combined by summer and fall budgets together for the sale.
I ordered all of these items online so they are all subject to approval once they arrive. A few have arrived already and some haven't... see my thoughts below on each piece.
caramel mock neck sweater - it's beyond me to think about wearing sweaters when it's 90 degrees out, but this one is so pretty. I see wearing it with white jeans for early fall or black denim and ankle booties later in the fall. Plus, this sweater is super budget friendly.
wedge ankle booties - speaking of ankle booties! It was love at first sight (and price!) with these. I don't do well in heels, but every gal likes a little extra height so these wedges will be a comfortable alternative. Plus, they are totally "mom" friendly.
pale blue sweater - I'm having a serious moment with pale blue lately... this cross front sweater is so gorgeous, no? I can see wearing this with jeans or shorts for early fall.
over the knee boots - these have been on my wishlist for a while and at under $200 for suede I thought the price was great too. Unfortunately, when they arrived they fit weird for me in the calf (which I don't usually have problems with on boots). These are going to have to be returned (sad face!) - I am currently considering these or these as alternatives.
lace up back sweater - how fun is this top? I can definitely see throwing it on over a tank for Pure Barre or dressing it up for a date night.
cashmere wrap - it was love at first sight with this cashmere wrap! And on top of that, it's a fantastic price for cashmere at almost $100 off. This piece arrived already and it's just as gorgeous in person. It's soft and flowy and can double as a wrap or an oversized scarf. I can also see using it as a blanket on a flight. It's so versatile and I'm really glad I snagged it.
pale blue handbag - THIS bag! I'm kind of obsessed. The color is a little out of the box for me, but I'm cool with taking a risk for fall. I think it will be great to use this summer yet and this fall will be perfect to pair with blacks/greys/burgundies/etc.
distressed jeans - This is my first pair of J Brand jeans. They arrived yesterday and fit like a glove (thanks to Nordstrom's handy True Fit size recommendation). They are a touch long, but since they have a frayed hem I am going to self tailor them (wink, wink!) for the perfect length. These jeans have a higher rise for a really flattering look... I'm all about the mid to high rise jeans lately. No muffin top or bulge here!
And on a completely unrelated note... I also snagged some candles too! Who doesn't love a new candle?

While I was shopping the sale myself this year (stay tuned for what I bought... I'll post about it soon!) I noticed that a number of my current wardrobe staples that I own and love were back in stock this year. Some of them are a touch different styles as designers tend to change up minor details from season to season, but for the most part several of my past fall and winter staples are back AND on sale! So if you have had your eye on any pieces from old posts that you wish you would've gotten or that were sold out in your size... a lot of great pieces are back! Last year I bought these duck boots at the Nordstrom sale. It felt crazy buying winter boots in July, but sizes sold out super fast and then the snow started falling and I was really glad I had them on hand! They are under $80 right now!
Every gal needs a stylish pair of Hunter boots in her closet, right!?!? Hunter boots notoriously NEVER go on sale... but a super cute similar pair is on sale now (I actually like this style more than my style!). Snag them while they are available!
I've styled this vest up more ways than I can count... it's a perfect light weight layer for a touch of extra warmth or to add a little texture or interest to any outfit. A very similar version is on sale here for less than $40!
While there is still plenty of summer to enjoy (thank goodness!)... I am SO OVER summer clothes. I've been re-wearing basically the same three summer pieces over and over and it's been so hot (and we are in the middle of moving!) that clothes are almost an after thought these days. They take the hottest pieces from the best designers for the upcoming season (yes, you read that right the UPCOMING season) and seriously slash prices on covet worthy pieces left and right.
The newest Kate Spade and Marc Jacobs bags!?!? On sale. The boots you crave for fall?!?! On sale. Your most favorite designer jeans?!?! Yep, on sale too. You get the picture. It's the one sale not to miss all year. In my opinion it's the best time to buy investment pieces like bags, jewelry, shoes and jeans. But other awesome items like beauty sets and accessories and outerwear are all on sale too.
