Fashion Friday: Nature Inspired...

When I began to take pictures in the yard yesterday for Fashion Friday (nature inspired!) there were so many amazing flowers blooming, it was hard to choose just one set to inspire Fashion Friday! But the crab apples trees (their name speaks nothing to their beauty!) are in FULL bloom and they have the sweetest most alluring scent that fills the air. So this week... they are my fav.



I wish I had a sunny little summer wedding to wear this ensemble to... a yellow dress, what fun!

Fashion Friday: Nature Inspired...

As long as my garden keeps blooming and bursting so beautifully... you all will be getting nature inspired Fashion Fridays! The bleeding hearts just popped up this week...

Ahh, they are one of my absolute favorites! The kids in the neighborhood keep asking if they are "fake"! This year I don't seem to have as many blooms (yet) as previous years - hopefully they'll keep coming

I quickly snapped some pictures of our daffodils that are beginning to finally open their buds in the yard. I thought it would be fun to dream up some fashion inspired by their simple beauty.

Fashion Friday... Toy Watch!

I just CAN NOT believe that it is Friday again already! But you won't catch me complaining! Who doesn't love Friday?!?! In this installment of Fashion Friday (where every Friday I make an ensemble from one of the items I highlighted this week on the 'ol blog)... I chose to go with the Toy Watch. Which I have nothing but pure love for. Oh, and also the pair of $19.50 patent flats I got from Old Navy. Because if lovin' $19.50 patent flats from Old Navy is wrong... I don't want to be right! Fashion Friday... all you need is love!

As you may (or may not) know... Fashion Friday is where I take one item that I have highlighted over the past week an formulate an outfit using it. Today I am feeling basic and simple and cozy. I really loved this scarf I featured in yesterday's rainbow post from www.Vivre.com that I think was actually in their men's department... but men's-shmen's. I like it. And this week is so cold and miserable with having a sick kid that I just need some comfy-cozy goodness. How about you?

Fashion Friday... a touch of spring!

In the coming weeks the stores will be flooded with early spring styles... so if you are going to be doing any clothing shopping soon, you'll need to integrate some of these spring looks into your winter wardrobe with out them looking like they are aliens from another planet. Before my husband and I had kids, when we could do whatever we wanted and had two unrestricted incomes... ahhhh, the days... we would take an annual trip to Chicago for Valentine's weekend for romance, relaxation and of course shopping! Except that navigating clothing retailers in February can be tricky. They were ready for spring, but the wind chills aren't.
