new for spring... Lands End Canvas!

Happy Saturday!

I'm having fun bringing you all what's new and fun for spring from all of my favorite retailers... so far we have done Old Navy, Gap, LOFT, and Fossil.  Today we are checking out Lands End Canvas... they are Lands End's younger hipper sister.  I love that they have a classic spin on their pieces but also maintain a certain trendiness that makes them very current.  Here are some of my favorite picks for Lands End Canvas for spring...

So my son has a joke that I find endlessly funny for I don't know what reason... basically the joke is him just saying: "Hey mom, I'm looking for the thing with the thing with the thing... have you seen it?" Or "Have you heard about the thing with the thing with the thing." Or any variation of those two. Don't ask me why, must be his tone of voice or silliness or seriousness when saying it. But I just die laughing.

This outfit kind of reminds me of that joke... It's "the sweater with the sweater with the jacket." ya know?


Yeah, you got that right... two sweaters. What can I say I get cold!


Any chance I can get a couple of myself cloned... you know for a jill with a jill with a jill? This time of year is always SO busy, with Halloween, my sons upcoming birthday then straight to the holidays, oh, and if you haven't heard... I launched a new blog too. You know... for all of my free time. (yeah right!) You should stop by... it's pretty cute and fun over there!

So I am now taking applications for nannies, email answerers, ghost writers, house cleaners, dinner makers and nap takers (a girl has got to get some rest!). Your name has to be Jill though. And the pay stinks. Sorry!

I just love Lands End Canvas... a youthful off-shoot of the very traditional Lands End. Their clothes are very classic, very refined and anything but boring! These pieces will make great staples for your wardrobe and are classic enough to never go out of style!

Do you have a favorite? I honestly CAN NOT choose one... any of these items would work themselves seamlessly into my wardrobe! (And how about that silk dress with the faux fur jacket I featured earlier this week - I die!!)

Also for some reason I just love their models... aren't they "girl next door" cute? Nice to see some relatable girls as models, isn't it?

Ahhhh... stripes. Doesn't just looking at them make you happy? I have had my eye on this sweater for a bit and since it's arrival (pulled the old rabbit out of a hat trick... you know, online!) I haven't wanted to take it off!



It's a great summer sweater weight and I just love the three-quarter length sleeves.



Paired with polka-dot TOMS and a yellow jacket - it's some type of old fashioned fun that I am really digging.

You gals may remember this rockin' jacket that Lands End Canvas was so generous to send to me!?!? I knew once spring hit it would be a blast to wear around town, and I was right! I get so many compliments on it. Must be because it's so bold. Really, it's not very mellow at all, is it?


When I went shopping last weekend (my big spring stock up... well, not THAT big). I was careful to keep in mind the spring trends I so carefully and lovingly put together for us. Oh, what... you haven't snagged your copy of the Spring 2010 looks:book? Well, ya' better!


Keep in mind that the trends I laid out in the looks:book will integrate well with your current wardrobe (very mix and match friendly) so that you aren't completely abandoning your existing clothing... just "sprucing" your look up a bit!


Which is just what I did here. I hope you have found the looks:book (for those of you that have purchased it) to be a good inspiration and guide for spring shopping. I know I had the list running in my head when I picked up a couple new things last weekend. This top included.

I don't think I have ever owned a chambray top... wow, is it comfy! Here I paired it with gold accessories (belt, flats) and some super skinny, super dark jeans from F21. The cropped look is so fresh for spring especially when it hugs your legs nicely.
