everyday style: wearing white in winter!

Creamy white is one of my favorite colors to wear in winter... scarves, coats, sweaters and even handbags are all perfect in cozy white for winter.  Forget the rules that say "no white after labor day" here are my rules for wearing white in the winter:

• stick with a creamy and complex white, rather than the bright white that is classic for warmer months.
• pair your winter white with warm and wintry layers to ground the look
• avoid frilly or light weight tops that are meant for the spring or summer that may confuse the seasonal look that you are going for
• 'winter white' creates a blank slate for the rest of your outfit... so choose fun pieces, textures, accessories and colors to highlight against the white "backdrop".
