monday cravings...

Besides loads of coffee and a dash of quiet (I'm headed out on a school field trip with my daughter this morning - gah!) my Monday cravings include...

• Cozy sweaters, moccasins (any and every pair - love!) and skinny jeans (the only pants I seem to gravitate towards lately). 
• I just tried out this new nail polish this weekend and I'm totally in love - it's my new absolute favorite.  
• This is my fall home scent... this candle is rocking my world lately.  Just a little patchouli... not too much!
• I'm still completely obsessed with Dooney & Bourke bags - this one included.
• Are you getting into the navajo trend? A dash like this scarf would be a fun addition to my wardrobe...
• Necklaces with words on them, for some reason I'm obsessed.

This weekend the weather is supposed to be a little warmer - I've got my fingers crossed for some sun as well!  I'm craving a laid back and slightly girly vibe and will be turning to layers to keep me warm rather than a coat - yay!  What do you have planned this weekend?

my style...

Lately I find myself more and more drawn to simple neutrals that make a bold impact. Like this fun ring or high platform sandals.  I think what draws me to them so much is that they all mix and match so easy - like if my closet was full of all of these items I could literally throw anything on at any given time and I would be set to go.  You know?

In general I can never say that just ONE STORE is exactly my style. I like to pull a little bit from each store to make what I feel is the perfect aesthetic for me.  But lately, every time I happen upon Madewell I just can't get enough.

I like to call Madewell RELAXED REFINED.  And that is JUST what my style is these days. There is not an item that they carry that I wouldn't want to make my own.  Some of the pieces are a bit out of my price range, but just like it's older 'sister' JCrew, Madewell seems to offer decent sales.  I hope to make some Madewell pieces my own soon!

my style...

I'm feelings all sorts of springy this morning!  I am absolutely CRAVING a shopping trip for spring clothes and to get me out of this winter-blah rut (yes, that would be retail therapy). BUT the thing is, I crave warm temps and sunshine more than the actual clothes (truth be told, people) - and you can't BUY weather. Unless you buy a plane ticket some where warm.

So I am going to hang tight for now and just dreeeeeam of spring!

On Saturdays I like to pop in here and do a quick post.  Recently I've rounded up what's new for retailers on Saturdays (seen here). And now that most of the spring stuff is out and selling out I thought it would be fun to change gears.  

For the next few Saturdays I will feature stuff I am digging and looks I am coveting right now.

Nautical style isn't going anywhere and these sweet anchor earrings are so cute! Light weight sweaters like this pretty pink one are going to be so perfect for chilly spring days. A t-back top like this one would be fun for a night out as the evenings warm, it's simple but sexy. I'm craving soft colors and light weight fabrics... this scarf totally fits the bill. You've heard me blabber on and on about white jeans. I just can't get enough! I could use some really casual kicking around shoes, I imagine these boat shoes would do just fine.  This leopard print tote is super cheap (only $15!) and would be a great replacement for my worn out library bag.  I still haven't snagged a military inspired jacket yet - I love this one!
