These pieces are going to be perfect for spring and/or spring break depending on where you live or where you are planning to travel. Every time I shop Old Navy I am increasingly impressed by the funs styles they crank out season after season but I also think that their quality has really improved over the past few years too. All these fabrics felt really great - nothing looked or felt "cheap" and the wearability on these pieces is perfect for any busy mom, like myself.
above: I originally ordered this top in small and it was WAY TOO SMALL. Wow. The description says "fitted" and it means it. Here I am in a medium and this is a perfect fit and I have to say I love the "fitted" fit when my arms don't feel like sausages (haha!). So this top definitely redeemed itself - just be sure to size up. Also I am OBSESSED with these linen pants. So I have this pair in white from last year and they are perfect for throwing over a swimsuit or even dressing up with wedges for a summer look that is casual and comfortable. This year the fit has a little higher rise than last year, which I find to be more flattering. So I for sure am snagging these pants. I can see them with flip flops or dressed up with wedges for spring break and summer. I went down a size to size XS, they run a little big.
above: This adorable ruffle sleeve t-shirt dress is everything I want in a spring/summer dress. It's easy to wear, again easy to dress up or down and looks cute while still be comfortable. This dress runs big - so order down! I am in a size XS here versus my usual size small. It's also available in solid colors as well!
above: This adorable tie-front tank is nice and lightweight for those steamy hot summer days. I wish I would've grabbed white jeans to pair them with because the top is a little washed out with blue jeans. Either way this top is great with shorts or white jeans and would be great with a blazer for a spring office look as well. I am obsessed with these jeans too! The high waisted, straight leg and ankle cut denim (aka the "mom" jean) is definitely a big trend right now and will continue to be likely through the fall. If you want to dip your toes in the trend without spending a lot of money I highly suggest this pair. I found them to be comfortable and flattering. They run true to size.
above: If you can't tell I am not much of a "pants" person. Jeans, yes. Leggings, yes. But actual PANTS don't make it in the rotation much. I randomly snagged this pair to try on and ended up REALLY liking them. They have just a touch of stretch to be comfortable and I love the patch pockets and ankle length. I went with my usual size here and I think they look AWESOME with a striped top like this.
above: This striped tie-front top is a spring staple. There is not much else to say except that it is WILDLY soft and cute and everyone needs one! It's just as easy as that (wink, wink). Pair it with jeans, shorts, skirts, blazers... whatever suits your fancy!
above: It wouldn't be spring at Old Navy without their amazing selection of simple t-shirts. I usually buy a few in grey and white and black and wear them to death all spring and summer. This boxy grey tee is PERFECT for that. You can easily dress it up with black pants or jeans and a necklace or just throw it on with some shorts. So easy and so good!
above: I'm always a sucker for a graphic tee... and thought this HERO tee was so fun! It runs a little small - I am in a size small here and felt it was quite fitted. So keep that in mind for ordering. With these high waisted jeans and sneakers this would be a simple spring running around look.
above & below: I've raved about this striped top probably enough now. Just remember to order up a size because it does run small. I love the color options here - black and white is so classic, but pink and red is just so fun. There are more color options available as well!
above: I always love a good shirt dress. This army green shirt dress is cute and classic. I would pair it with a denim jacket or even a little sweater or sweatshirt tied around the waist for an easy mom look. This runs a little big, so I went down a size.
above: For spring it's ALL about the stripes. You know? This easy striped lightweight sweatshirt is SO cute and soft. It's not too bulky and has a nice little drape to it as well - it would be perfect for throwing on with shorts or over tanks for a cool day. It's available in a few really pretty pastel shades too. Sizing is true to size on this one.
