Here's why: because every year and only once a year Nordstrom takes the new incoming fall style and marks them down... so it's the exact opposite of every other sale you've likely shopped in the past. Yes, you read that right. The NEW incoming styles get marked down. So this is the absolute best time of year to stock up on brand new jeans, boots, sweaters, outerwear and beauty products for this coming fall at huge discounts. Items will sell out super fast and then when the sale is over the prices go UP for fall and winter.
Here's how I usually shop the sale... first I shop it EARLY... yes, my alarm will be set for super early Thursday morning. The early bird will definitely get the worm since items sell out quickly. Next I will focus on investment pieces for my wardrobe that will be great staples for the coming fall and winter. I always invest in new jeans, new boots and sweaters. This year I also have outerwear on my wishlist and snagging a new fall bag is always a good idea! I make a list of the items I'm specifically looking for and then make sure to hit up those departments early. Oh yeah, and I shop entirely ONLINE. I've heard horror stories of how busy the stores are this time of year and buying online with FREE SHIPPING and FREE RETURNS makes my life SO much easier. I may pop out to the store at some point, but honestly I don't really have any plans to.
