my everyday style: to puff or not to puff with Save the Duck and Bloomingdales!

To puff or not to puff? I've found there are two camps when it comes to puffer coats - those that love  puffer coats and those that live in Florida.  Kidding, kind of. I mean if you live in a warm climate I get why puffer coats aren't for you, but for us midwestern folks (that just autocorrected to: fools, ahem) there is only one way to go: TEAM PUFFER COAT.  Starting about mid-October to at least end of March is puffer coat season in Michigan and so of course I need a few good options in my coat closet.  I like a puffer coat that is warm (duh), lightweight (seriously some are so heavy!), long enough to reach down to tall boots (if need be) and most of all: flattering. Which is kind of a paradox, but I always keep it in mind!

Today I am partnering with Bloomingdale's to get the word out about their Save the Duck super warm DUCK FREE puffer coats... yep, it's a puffer coat without the down feathers for a more eco and animal friendly option for staying warm this fall and winter.  This puffer checks all the boxes... I love it's long and slim fit so it's not overly boxy and big while still keeping me super warm.  I also love the built-in hood to protect against wind and rain. And lastly I love how lightweight yet WARM it is... it's so lightweight and compact it even fits in a travel bag to pack it up easily (see below).   This coat is PERFECT for my busy mom-on-the-go lifestyle living in Michigan. It keeps me warm and stylish for everything from running errands to running the carpool to sitting at kids sports this fall. I recently wore it on a super blustery day... it wasn't cold so much as windy and rainy and I was so comfortable despite the weather. The coat (and hood) kept me so warm. I'm hooked.  You can find your own Save the Duck puffer coat at Bloomingdales right now as well as many other cold weather outerwear pieces. There is this long option (shown), a shorter option or a vest!
