H&M try on session!

I've got an EPIC sweater try on session for you today... everything is from H&M and under $40. I mean... the prices here are SO GOOD and so are the sweaters. I think H&M does sweaters really, really well. I love their modern simplicity, versatile colors and you just can't beat the prices for great quality too. These sweaters are all on par with Nordstrom, J.Crew or Madewell but for half the price in most instances.

I have a few H&M pieces from last winter that I can't wait to wear again this fall and winter so I love that the pieces stand up to multiple seasons too. Don't let the prices here fool you on the quality... somehow they get BOTH right.  Today I've got some great fall sweaters that I styled two ways... I made sure to include lots of leggings and some joggers in addition to the fall stand by of denim. I think a lot of us will be continuing to enjoy our leggings this season so I wanted to showcase the sweaters that work well with athleisure this fall too.

(above & below) grey sweater (available in 3 colors)
Thoughts: I LOVE this. The fabric is super soft and stretchy with no itch. The length and side slit are perfect for pairing with jeans or leggings. This is just a great classic wardrobe staple for a really great price.
Sizing: I went down a size to XS. It runs big.
Keep or return?  This is a keeper! Simple and classic.

Shop the look:
(below) grey sweater, leggings, sneakers or similar sneakers, bag is Polene

(above & below) rib knit button front cardigan (available in 2 colors)
Thoughts: I got the sizing wrong on this one and I am super bummed about it. It's SO cute but too small. I love this style top for fall. You can wear it as a cardigan or a pullover. It's got a classic vibe to it while being very modern right now. The fabric is very beautiful and soft.
Sizing: I got and XS and it's too small. I think a small would be perfect.
Keep or return? Return because it's too small. It might be worth a reorder in the right size though!

Shop the look:

(above & below) chunky turtleneck sweater (available in 6 colors)
Thoughts: I LOVE this. So cute and cozy and it's a much less expensive version of the Free People option that I got at the NSale and is now sold out. It's available in tons of colors and so beautiful.
Sizing: I went with my usual size small.
Keep or return? I'm going to keep it and likely send back the expensive FP sweater - or keep both ;) we will see.

Shop the look:

(above & below) beige fine knit mock neck sweater (available in 3 colors)
Thoughts: Another big winner! I literally kept it on after this try on and wore it all day yesterday. It's perfectly lightweight and cozy at the same time. Plus it's works great with leggings or joggers (below)
Sizing: I went down a size to XS in this one. It runs big.
Keep or return? Keep! I think I may snag this one in black too... you'll see why below.

Shop the look:

(above & below) oversized black sweater (available in 2 colors)
Thoughts: This is not a winner. I like the idea and the cut of it is great, but the fabric is weird and all wrong. I have been wanting an oversized black sweater but this isn't the right one. I think I may order the beige sweater above in black instead.
Sizing: I went down a size to size XS.
Keep or return? Return. I'm bummed because I like the idea of this sweater. but not the way it works with the fabric.

Shop the look:

(above & below) long taupe cardigan (available in 5 colors)
Thoughts: This is very similar soft and stretchy fabric as the grey and beige sweaters above. It's a gorgeous piece. I love the dolman sleeves and length. Plus the front is nice and flat with no pockets. I like pockets but there are advantages to not having them too. It works great with jeans and leggings. Overall this is a SUPER versatile piece for fall.
Sizing: I went down a size in this one to XS. It definitely runs big.
Keep or return? I'm trying to decide since I do have a similar cardigan, but also... you can never have too many cardigans!

Shop the look:

(above) black hat
Thoughts: I'm 50/50 on the felt/wool hat trend. But I really like this one because I feel like it isn't too big. I'm going to have to try it a few times to get used to it and hopefully will do a 6 ways to style soon.
Sizing: I went with a size small.
Keep or return? I'm still deciding! In general, I LIKE IT. I just have to decide if I will wear it enough.
