old navy try on session!

I went down a rabbit hole at Old Navy recently when I was shopping online for my kids for back to school.  They have both grown like crazy over the summer - per the usual - and I always stock up on jeans and khakis for them there. Then I wandered over to the women's new arrivals and was very pleasantly surprised by what I found. I'm always a little hit or miss on Old Navy but when I find a few good pieces they are definitely worth sharing because the prices are just so great. When you can truly find the quality too it makes some of these a no-brainer for fall.

Let's take a look at the pieces... for most of them I styled them for now (a little summery) and for later (more fall-ish) to give an idea on a few ways to style them.

(above & below) striped sweater

Thoughts: This is SO cute and really the perfect summer to fall weight sweater. I think the quality is great and love the tunic length. It works now with white jeans and later with leggings really well.

Sizing: I got my usual size small. True to size.

Keep or return? I'm going to keep this one. I don't have a black/white striped sweater and it's just so classic!

(above & below) tie dye sweatshirt

Thoughts: LOVE. I am so in love with fun sweatshirts lately and this one fits the bill. It's a super cute and toned down look for fall.

Sizing: True to size, I am in a small.

Keep or return? Keep. I love it.

Styled with: shorts, Birkenstocks, denim jacket, leggings, sneakers

(above) brown button front sweater

Thoughts: This color is weird for me. It looks great in the photograph but it felt weird on, I don't know. It's also available in white, which is beautiful.  The sweater I loved. The color, not so much. I only styled this one way because I honestly couldn't think how else to style it!?!

Sizing: Runs big, I am in an XS. I recommend going down a size.

(above & below) black sweatshirt (color is panther) & jogger pants (color is panther)

Thoughts: LOVE. I will say I love the joggers more than the sweatshirt which feels a little stiff. The joggers are worth snagging a few more in my opinion. They are THAT good. 

Sizing: Joggers run big, I went down to an XS and they stretch out a little as you wear them. Sweatshirt is true to size, I am in my usual size small.

Keep or return? Keep. I've already worn and washed both - also they wash great too, no shrinkage.

Styled with: white tee, sneakers, slippers

(above & below) grey waffle sweater

Thoughts: Gorgeous. And really great quality. I have a similar sweater from J.Crew and the quality is pretty much the same. I'm super impressed with this one. 

Sizing: I am in my usual size small. At first I thought maybe I should size up for a slouchier fit (which you certainly could do) but after styling it a few ways I think true to size is the way to go.

Keep or return? Keep. This a great staple.
