family pajamas for the holidays with Macy's!

It's family pajama season! And I get REALLY excited about it in our household! Now let me say that my kids are most likely going to age out of this very soon... but in the meantime I am HERE FOR IT. And I'm thankful they like to play along.  It's not easy connecting with teens for family time that doesn't get groans of "do we really have to?" But I can usually ply them with a competitive session of our favorite family games or a movie night as long as there are plenty of snacks and treats involved. And it's been so cold and snowy here that talking them into cozy (albeit) matching pajamas really isn't too tough. Brrr! Who can resist cozy pjs on a blustery weekend?

We like to pop up some popcorn in our Whirly Pop that we have owned for ages - if you don't own one I highly suggest it! Or they make great gifts! Then we stock up on treats and junk food at the store and then dig in for some healthy competition with board games. These days our favorite games are Blokus, Ticket to Ride, Dutch Blitz and Bananagrams. Plus we love to have a jigsaw puzzle going during Thanksgiving and Christmas break.

But the star of the show is definitely the matching family pjs! This is the time of year that I need to stock up on fresh pajamas for the whole family any way (hello growth spurts over the warmer months!) and everyone loves a new set of cozy pjs.  Right now Macy's has an incredibly cute and cozy selection of family pjs for everyone in the family. There are lots of fun patterns and color combos to choose from - you can shop the entire matching family pajama selection here! My husband is wearing this pair in classic black watch and my son is wearing this mix and match pair in red and plaid - both mens pjs run a little big, so keep that in mind for sizing. My daughter is wearing this adorable red plaid pair that actually works for boys or girls which fits a little small, I suggest sizing up one. And I am in this classic plaid pair, which also runs a little big - although I love a good oversized pj.
