what to pack: spring break for under $100!

Who's ready for spring break? I have been getting requests for spring break content and packing lists for quite a few weeks now and since it's officially March - it's TIME! Looking forward to spring break is the only thing that gets me through the long winter sometimes... the sun, the sand, the pool and lots of family time is just what I need after a long winter.

Today I pulled together an easy and classic packing list for spring break. These pieces are perfect for lounging by the pool, chasing the kids at the beach, some sightseeing and maybe even a nice dinner out as a family.  When I pull together a packing list here on the blog or even for my own travel I like to focus on items that mix and match easily so that outfits are easy to pull together. I also like to make sure that pieces can serve more than one purpose - for instance these black linen pants can work as a swim cover up or they work for dinner out with wedge espadrilles.  White jeans and a blue camisole tank are perfect for sightseeing or a dinner out as a family.  I love throwing a simple t-shirt or striped tank over a swimsuit after I feel like I've had too much sun for the day too.  And don't forget about layers! Chilly evenings call for a sweatshirt, a cardigan or even a lightweight utility jacket.  I always like to pack a canvas tote that can work for books and sunscreen for the pool or snacks and gear while sightseeing.  Then a little woven straw purse comes in handy for shopping or dinner out. I always pack some sneakerssandals and wedges but end up usually living in my flip flops.  I love these sunglasses for travel because they are super lightweight and comfortable on your face if you are going to be wearing them all day.

Everything featured here is UNDER $100 so it's all budget friendly too (which is the best part about shopping for spring - the prices are always much more affordable than winter clothing items).
