This holiday season I am making a list and checking it twice to make sure we have enough time for all our favorite holiday traditions. One of my personal favorite holiday traditions is watching all our favorite Christmas movies as a family. Elf, Charlie Brown, Home Alone, The Polar Express, Rudolph - there are SO many good ones! It is an inexpensive and FUN way to stay connected as a family during all the busy-ness of the holiday season. We love to pop up some popcorn, fill a tray with as many snacks as we can and head to the family room to fight over blankets and which movie we are going to watch - in that special way only families do. Haha! But seriously, what is better than piling on the sofa together to watch a movie you've all seen a million times but just can't quit watching? Not much friends. And with teens and tweens in the house I just know these days are preciously numbered.
To set the mood I took one quick trip to JCPenney where I stocked up on some cozy home decor for the holidays like this plaid blanket and some plaid throw pillows (similar). Aren't they so cute? And at such a great price too! To make sure your movie night snacks are ready to go, I highly recommend this popcorn popper and adorable striped bowl set too. Insuring the evening was as festive as possible I couldn't resist picking out coordinating Christmas pajamas for all of us... I mean, they are so cute and comfy. JCPenney has so many more really fun coordinating pajamas (here) for the holidays and they were the perfect addition to our movie night. I love that everything shown here from JCPenney was affordable and there was a little something for everyone. And make sure to stop by their amazing gift giving guide as well, with tons of gifts at all price points! This adorable hat set is perfect for all the little gals on your list and every boy (old or young!) would love this gift!
Okay now dish... what are your favorite movies to watch as a family this time of year? Did I leave any off the list?
