my everyday style: easy denim shorts!

You know I am a die hard denim gal. I'm all about jeans... all the time. So for summer of course I love denim shorts as well... but if you are like me, shopping for denim shorts is a WHOLE different ball game than shopping for actual long jeans. They fit way different, you have to worry about properly covering your bum, they can't be too tight around the thighs and you want them the perfect not-too-short/not-too-long length.  It can be exhausting just thinking about it. And to complicate matters my "favorite" pairs from last summer were a big NO-GO this summer since I'd lost a few pounds with FWTFL. I mean it's a good "problem" to have... but still.

So I recently made it my mission to try on a TON of denim shorts and find the best a great UNDER $50 pair in THIS post... so go check that out if you haven't. Next up I showed you a pair of really flattering high waisted denim shorts in THIS post... another great one to check out if you haven't already!  And finally today I am bringing you ONE more pair that I am really loving... it's pretty much been a rotation of these three pairs all summer.

I love a little distressing to denim shorts and this pair is SOFT and STRETCHY and really just so comfortable. I find the length to be quite flattering as well.  And here is my trick when you are shopping for denim shorts... always go UP a size. Don't be hung up on the number on the label, in my experience I have found that going up a size gives a nice slouchy fit that is much more flattering than how my usual size fits.  Since the weather has been so weird lately I've been loving this slouchy summer sweater for the cool and gloomy days.  Paired with some leather sandals and a summer bag it's the perfect summer outfit to throw on for weekends, busy days with kiddos or errands.
