4 of 30... extra credit!

There are a few items in this go-round of the 30/30 Challenge that I actually used in the last challenge. This top is one of them... it's heavy in rotation for my wardrobe and so I knew it couldn't be left out. I also thought it added a fun dimension to have a few items remixed now (winter) and then (summer). Does that earn me extra credit?

I'm trying out a new location in my house for photos. Our house has like a million windows. Which is great for natural light... but we have almost no walls for which to serve as a back-drop for photos. And you can't stand in front of a window (weird back light - although that is what I did for my old location, just with the blinds closed)... and even the small smidges of walls we have are used for photos and other wall hangings. Harummmpppffff. So I don't know... let me know how you like this backdrop... better than previous!?! Still as so-so!?!

I will admit that looking at my thirty items this morning I instantly thought: These old things again? So soon! But the thing I love about this challenge is the practice of getting over the hump of "these old things" and just wearing them because you love them and because they are great pieces. Even if you wore them recently. Does your mind do that when looking at your clothes... instantly persuade you that you JUST wore that? Mine does.

Outfit details can be found here... (jacket courtesy of Tulle).

I dig the new backdrop. Have you ever thought of taking your photos outside? I think it makes all the difference in the world.

I'm seeing several of the 30 for 30 bloggers combining black and white stripes with a brown accent (coat or scarf) and I'm happily surprised to see what a chic look it is. This looks especially great with the white scarf to pull it all together - Katy

Very cute outfit! I would never think of combining black with brown, but it looks great! Love the cute scarf and black riding boots. Thanks for sharing!

The striped top looks great under the warm brown leather jacket. The spot looks good. Yes, when I spent 4 months in Turkey wearing the same clothes, I was soooo sick of them. Especially the shoes. I missed having access to my full closet.

I really like the jacket with the stripes. I'm having the same problem with photos at my house. Are you considering venturing outdoors?

That shirt is really cute with the scarf and jacket! And I like the new location, I have a hard time finding places in my house too, and I haven't mustered up the courage to go outside just yet.

You look great, as always! Thanks for the inspiration to pair black and brown. Can i mix grey in too?

As for background - I like this fine but prefer the other. It felt more open and fresh to me. Just my 2 cents! :)
