kids picks!

Most of you know that I am a mom to two amazing little kiddos... my son is 7 and my daughter is 4.  I absolutely love shopping for my kids and this spring I have been snatching up some really great pieces for  the warmer season that I thought I would share!

These Native shoes (in "miller" style) are sort of like a Croc (which, yes are the most practical shoes ever for kids) but are SERIOUSLY cute!  They come in super eye popping colors from CrewCuts and are a really great price.  My son got blue and my daughter got pink - but the yellow is so cute too!  My kids will be wearing these all summer long and I love that I can clean them up with a wet cloth and they look new again!

Speaking of Crewcuts, I'm not usually one to spend a lot of cash on kids clothes (hello Target & Old Navy!) but these t-shirts from CrewCuts I purchased on sale recently and I am so in love with them (green for my son and purple for my daughter). The colors are sweet and kid-ish while still looking refined and even a little dressier than a regular t-shirt.  Plus, these babies are seriously soft.  I'm just wondering when I can start borrowing my kids clothes! So check those sales for great prices...

For fun and colorful bottoms for the kids I hit up Old Navy... fun skirts like this white one for my daughter and blue ones for my son are perfect for summer activities.

And lastly I seriously stocked up on swimwear - I usually get the gets two or three swim suits each as we are in the water a lot in the summer. This insures there is always one suit that is clean/dry.  I went for fun bold colors for those as well.  Pink stripes and blue ruffles will make really cute pictures at the beach too!

Are you loving any cool kids stuff this spring? Do tell!

what to wear: kids!

I love pulling outfits together for little ones... and something about spring makes me think of babies (I'm sure nature is somehow involved with that). But these adorable outfits will have your babes looking sweet as can be this spring.

There is something just too cute about a little tyke in a one piece suit. I think it's the fact that you can only do it while they are small.

I adore these mary jane style Robeez. My kids wore these shoes as long as I could squeeze their feet in them. Best shoes EVER for kiddos.

Wouldn't this outfit be adorable for baby pictures? I love the vest (does it come in my size???). My niece has these exact sunglasses and they are even cuter in person!

Do you have any sweet little ones to buy for this spring?

Target, why do you do this to me?

As if Target doesn't tempt my wallet enough... every time I stop in they just have the most adorable little girls clothes. Case in point:

Summer tops like these are just made for sweet little girls, oh to be four again!

Do you think I can get these in my size? How adorable!

Kickin' around shoes for girls that are cute and function are hard to find. These totally fit the bill!

This dress would be perfect with some leggings, or even with jeans and a cardigan until the temps warm up a bit!

I am pretty sure there is no way my daughter can make it through spring without these wellies. Adorbs.

What's your worst impulse buy at Target? I can never pass up on the clothing for my little lady!

what to wear: Spring Break!

I have been dreaming for weeks of a spring break vacation - I'm keeping my fingers we can find a cheap place to stay in Florida. Until then... let's dream about what we'll wear, right!?!?

Here are some family looks for a spring break on the Gulf shores.... ahhhh...

what to wear: Crazy 8!

Crazy 8 is a children's clothing store that I believe is affiliated with Gymboree. I've ordered clothing for my kids online from Crazy 8 several times. I am always amazed by two things... their sale prices and the quality of the items. I highly recommend the store.

Here are some fun and cute outfits I pulled together for elementary aged boys and toddler girls. Super cute and super fun!

My son loves "rock and roll" duds... this outfit wouldn't disappoint him. I can just imagine the smug look on his face now...

what to wear: Old Navy!

Old Navy can often be a dark horse in the clothing arena... I often look to Old Navy for staples for the whole family and Old Navy never disappoints with flashes of trendy items here and there. Plus, as a mom, there are not many stores where I can pick up items for each member of the family all in one place!

Here's some fun outfits I compiled for the whole family... all with Old Navy items!

I am already dreaming of spring... can you tell?

what to wear: Crew Cuts!

Let's dream a bit, shall we? I just adore JCrew children's line: Crew Cuts. The prices are exorbitant, but it never hurts to LOOK, now does it?

These outfits were so fun and easy to put together... like stealing candy from a baby, I tell you!

This outfit has a touch of sweet and a little bit of sassy too... I am loving the army-inspired skirt - I think we will be seeing a lot of this style this spring, for kids and adults.

Sweet layers and bold flats. Need I say more... ?

Any little guy would be completely adorable, and comfy, in this fun outfit! I could totally see my little guy in this!

This outfit epitomizes what JCrew and Crew Cuts do best. A little edgy and a whole lot sweet. How they can use pirate/skull heads and make it so adorable? I have no idea!

what to wear: elementary age kids!

I had so much fun doing the first round, I'm back for more... I am going to try and do outfits for kiddos at least once a week! It's fun and hopefully helpful to all the moms dressing the little ones out there.

You all said you wanted outfits for the elementary age set, so here they are!

Boys can be tough to dress, but stick to the basics and you have a classic and age appropriate look! I am so loving this "barn" style jacket!

And of course what boy doesn't like to look a little sporty now and then... paired with a collar top this look is "sporty", not sloppy!

Girls these days want to dress older and older, don't they? This tiered tulle skirt is very rock and roll, but the polka dot top and flowered hat keep it chic. And hello? Do they have those shoes in my size???

Flowers, check. Pink pants, check. Denim jacket, check. Adorable flats, check. What else does a gal need really?

Let me know what ages your little ones are and I'll work to compile some outfits here on the blog for all age groups!
