spring called...

they said to keep talking about them.

(so I know, I know, I said I wasn't going to go all "spring" on you all. But I have a strong urge for warm weather and amazing shoes... can you tell what kind of week I've had!?!? You know just a little something that you slip into, warm air and great shoes, and your whole being just says "ahhhhhh....", plus, I am staring down the reality that my new macBook might have just eaten up the Spring Break budget, a thought that makes me shudder.)

I figured you gals wouldn't mind going virtually shopping with me then. Common' let's go... I picked out some good stuff for us ladies! Leave all your worries behind...

Ankle Strap Sandals, Old Navy, $19.50

Pye Wrap Sandals, Free People, $132

Polished Strappy Sandals, Forever 21, $18.80

Risley Clog Sandal, Tory Burch, $275

Crinkle Flower T-Strap Sandal, Gap, $34.50

Which one is your fav? What styles do you have your eyes on for spring?

work it wednesday!

It's been a while since we've done a Work it Wednesday, no? And in usual WIW form, I am a day late. The internet would just not cooperate yesterday. Sorry folks!

Today's "work it" is for a reader that emailed me about these boots recently...

(Minnetonka Fringe Bootie, Urban Outfitters, $58)

Here's her note:

Hi.

My name is Angie and I am a 28 year old project manager for a progressive ad agency in SF. My wardrobe is very fashion forward and slightly trendy with a nice mix of vintage items and a penchant for skinny jeans (I just bought the same dark destroyed gap jeans you have) and heels. I have fallen head over heels for these moccasins from Urban Outfitters. I really want to buy them but I am not sure how I would wear them without looking like I should be panhandling in the Haight or pairing them with a plaid flannel and looking like Jackie from Roseanne.

Any ideas or suggestions?

So in true Work it Wednesday form, here are three options Angie!

Keep it casual and chic with this fun look. I am loving grey jeans these days... they seem to be a great compliment in just about any outfit. Fun pops of orange keep the look interesting.

These boots exude a certain boho look... but keep it fresh and modern with slim cords and fun accessories. I absolutely love this look!

Angie mentioned she likes a vintage feel to her outfits... this one has tons of vintage appeal while still fresh and modern.

Thank you so much for your email Angie... if you have a fashion related question for me, send them to goodlifeforless @ gmail.com - I'll do my best to answer them all!

monday cravings.

Mondays are never an easy pill to swallow. Let's make it better by dreaming of pretty things. No?

Animal prints done tastefully never get old to me.

I want to wear this with some easy jeans and a white tee.

Something about the warmer temps and tanner skin that makes me crave sweet and flowy tops.

I love big, huge bags. Especially when they are grey.

I just don't think I will ever tire of Tory Burch flats. yum. yum.

What do you crave these days?

Shoe and sandal love...

How stinkin' cool are these Whistle Neon Trim Sandals by Free People?

I guess I am loving grey footwear these days... because these Barcode Ankle Flats by Jeffrey Campbell at Free People are just adorable as well.

And the jury is definitely out on this pair of Bahia Jersey Sandals by Free People... would you do it? I don't think I would, but maybe. Hmmm.

Do you have new footwear plans for spring?

February Finds... 4!

I am so loving this Rural Route Convertible Skirt by Free People
... it's a great winter to spring to summer piece that is perfect for layering with tall boots, tights and a chunky sweater for winter and then pairing with a simple tank as a skirt this spring and summer. So versatile and the colors are just fantastic...

what's rockin' wednesday.

What's rockin' me today:

This quote. So true...

These delicate and fresh prints in honor of my favorite holiday (valentine's!) found via Creature Comforts! Oh how fun they would be in my ever evolving blue and red living room.

This inspiration board... seriously? It's perfect (if an inspiration board can even BE perfect... although they are like questions I suppose... never a bad one if you put thought into it).

And the Twisted Sister Halter by Free People - just imagining warm sun on my fashionable little shoulders... ahhhhhh.

What's rockin' you?
