With a little dip in the temps this week I am in full on fall mode… scarves, boots, warm drinks - you name it, I'm ready for it.  Or at least I am working on prepping for it.  Here are a few things on my radar this month as fall arrives.

black midi dress, perfect with a denim or leather jacket and flats - love this!

cream saddle bag, I'm loving cream for fall and this bag is the perfect size.

'why not me?' by Mindy Kaling… I'm pretty much the biggest MK fan ever. Ever. Her new book is great!

earrings, these earrings are delicate and sweet and perfect for pairing with turtlenecks or scarves.

plaid scarf, I mean… plaid scarf. I want this one and every other one that crosses my path these days! (or less expensive option)

fur hooded coat, this coat is on my winter wish list. It's not too soon to start planning (or shopping)!

riding boots… this pair has me drooling. I mean, how gorgeous!?!? (or less expensive option)

Warby Parker + Maiyet sunglasses, I love this French partnership with Warby Parker! Aren't these stunning?

sneakers… these are giving hearts in my eyes. I'm obsessed!

bring in the burgundy...

Fall gives new life to styles and colors that have been dormant in my closet over the summer.  Burgundy is a fall color that I love and each fall it seems new and fresh to me.  Jewel tones like burgundy are a great way to bring your wardrobe into fall… you can pair them with the shorts, dresses and even white jeans that you have been sporting all summer for a great summer-into-fall look.  Then once the weather cools burgundy pairs well with jeans, greys, blacks and plaids.

new arrivals… old navy!

Fall style is definitely in the air these days… and while I haven't purchased much as far as new clothes go - I am excited to get started.  I am loving the olive greens and burgundies that have been popping up in the stores.  I can't wait to snag a few pieces in these quintessential fall colors for myself.  What about you? Is there a color or texture that is catching your eye already this season?  

Old Navy is killing it with these great fall hues, slouchy and relaxed pieces and updates on the classics too.  All under one roof (and don't even get me started on the kids stuff… I can never walk out of there without a few fun pieces for my kiddos! I can even usually find a few pieces for my husband who is impossible to buy for.) which is the best for busy moms.

Does this make you excited for fall fashion like me? The best part is that all these pieces are UNDER $50!  Because, that's why we love Old Navy, right!?!? Great style and prices!

fall style crush: boden!

Each fall I'm always drawn to classic and preppy pieces to round out my wardrobe.  Something about the crisp air makes me double down on my blazer, oxford and stripe obsessions.  I recently stumbled upon this black dress on Pinterest and fell for it hard.  Once I realized it was from Boden I fell down a rabbit hole of their new arrivals and just had to share them here.  Refined denim pencil skirts? Tweed blazers? Snappy capes? Updated sweatshirts? Yes, yes, and yes please!!!

Cozy sweats, socks and scarves, my new ALL time favorite beauty product that is rocking my world, sleek shoes and fuzzy purses.  Just a few things that are on my radar this month.

I'm a sucker for a pointy shoe… how gorgeous are these flats?

Sock season is here. Are you ready? I love these black and white socks.  

Time to wrap up in a warm and beautiful scarf. I think this one is a definite winner.

My new ALL time favorite skin care product.  The Lustro Face Oil from Beautycounter has seriously transformed my skin in the last month I have been using it. Plus, it is actually safe for your skin and your body.  I can't recommend this stuff enough. my everyday style: the first of fall!

We've definitely gotten our first feel of fall here in West Michigan with a few very chilly mornings lately! Brrrrr! I'm still in denial that bathing suits and flip flops aren't in our normal repertoire of clothing anymore… so I still sneak in a few sandal wears here and there.  Usually I am sneaking in jeans & sweatshirts in August… but this year it was the other way around.  The summer was just too too short.

There are a few things about fall I sure do love though…
- dark nail polish again
- dark hair again (just got the summer sun taken out of my hair and it feels so fresh!)
- optional leg shaving
- cozy scarf wearing
- quiet afternoons at home while my kids are at school
- cider and donut indulging, which I have plans to do this weekend!

cheap thrills for fall with Forever 21!

Who doesn't love a rock bottom bargain from time to time? I always like to look in at Forever 21 a couple times a year to see what fun pieces they are offering for the season.  While I try to keep my wardrobe minimalist and high quality there is always room for a fun find at a really great price.

Checking out F21's site most recently I was pleasantly surprised to see some really classic pieces in great silhouettes for fall.  Any of these pieces I would be thrilled to add to my closet and all of them would be really versatile for fall.  Don't you think?

Who's excited!?!? Fall items are hitting the shelves at your favorite retailers and I'm giddy at the thought of it.  I plan on doing my usual seasonal posts featuring the best of the season and the must-haves but in the meantime… here are a few things that have already caught my eye.

leather bag: this bag is gorgeous and also comes in navy (!!) and the price, well, it can't be beat.

orsay flats: J.Crew finally is jumping on the bandwagon with this style and of course, it's beautifully executed.

j'adore tee: you have to check out these graphic tees from Old Navy - spot on for style and price!

surplus coat: this coat is gorgeous. I have an ongoing affair with army style jackets and since I already own two, I probably don't need another… but this one. Love it.

mixed media sweater: I don't want to think about sweater season, but at the same time this sweater is making me very excited for it. Part sweater, part oxford. My kind of sweater!

black grey skinny jeans: I'm not much of a black jean gal - but I'm kind of craving a pair for this fall. Are you a fan of the grey/black jean? 

track pants: hello comfort and style! If 'they' say cozy pants are in style, who's to argue right? Can you see yourself wearing this trend this fall? I may have to try it.

gorjana necklace: I'm having a moment with delicate jewelry lately. They are so fun to wear and layer. Rocks Box successfully got me hooked on Gorjana.  Eek! They are a touch on the pricey side but so so gorgeous!
