my everyday style: summer blouse!

My wardrobe absolutely depends on items that can be worn for multiple seasons.  This top is the perfect example.  I wore this top this winter as a layering piece (seen here and here) and through out the spring with blazers for a few events as well.  Here I paired this airy silk top with denim shorts for a surprisingly summer appropriate look as well.

Versatile pieces like this help keep my closet minimalist and help justify investment pieces because they can be worn so many times.   When worn with these distressed denim shorts it still has a laid back vibe - one that fits my lifestyle best.

my everyday style: chambray!

Chambray and I have a thing going on, I can't quit it. But you knew that already if you have read this blog for more than 5 minutes. Next thing I can't quit: wearing long sleeve tops with shorts. It seems to be my jam this summer. 

If you want to know how to stay on your toes as a blogger try doing photos in park where the sprinklers keep randomly popping up in random locations - eek!  Thankfully they didn't get me… but you can see them make their cameo in a few shots below.  Oh the life of a blogger… sometimes I wonder how I ever got myself into this mess.

my everyday style: coral crush!

I've got a serious crush on coral for summer.  It all started with this tote I found at the Kate Spade Outlet (in the clearance section even!).  Then I remembered this coral necklace that I got as a gift for Christmas … and since then it's all coral all the time.  I seek it out where ever I am, it always seems to catch my eye and if I find coral nail polish, well, it's a done deal.
