I will be celebrating my 13th Mother's Day as a mom this year, which is just crazy to me! When my kids were little I just wanted to sleep late or get a nap in as a "gift" and over the years celebrating has usually become some combination of a special brunch with my kids and husband and a nap in the afternoon. That is unless there is soccer - I've spent plenty of hours on soccer fields in celebration of Mother's Day as well. I wouldn't change any of it - some years you get an outdoor brunch on a gorgeous day and other's you get driving rain and wind on a soccer field. That is motherhood right there for you. All in all I consider myself to be pretty practical when it comes to Mother's Day - but this is coming from the lady that got excited about a blender for Christmas last year. So that's just me.

Since this Mother's Day will likely be another spent on the soccer fields I want to look my best while still feeling comfortable for a busy day of mom-duties.
