my outfit: white out!

White, white, white was such a big trend in Chicago this weekend... here's a photo I snapped of a big visual in H&M...

So today's 'Bloggers Do It Better' White-Out challenge was very timely... seeing that I live in Michigan (it's still a touch cool here) and that I am a mom, ALL white wasn't very practical.  So I went for a variation with a brown top in addition to the white jeans and white top.  I loved pulling this outfit together, dressing monochromatically has to be one of the simplest ways to dress.

I'm still a bit in the clouds from my fun weekend trip to Chicago with Linda... I'm planning a full re-cap tomorrow.  So stay tuned for that... we seriously shopped and I got tons of great stuff for spring and summer. I am so incredibly excited about my wardrobe right now.

I was almost ready to burst when we first got there because I had been saving money and staying away from shopping for a while - plus I had done my homework and knew a lot of what I was looking for.  I highly recommend making a game plan if you are getting ready to do some serious shopping. It helped a lot.

On another note... this is the third time in as many weeks that these jeans have popped up on the blog.  I may have mentioned before, that I hate washing jeans.  But with white, I'm prepared to do some washing - seems natural right?!?! But this pair has very surprisingly stayed clean - and even better, they have kept their shape so well.  This is why I absolutely love Gap jeans lately.  They wear SO well.
