my outfit: four eyes!

My husband and I recently had a rare morning just the two of us.  We headed to our favorite bakery where I TOTALLY indulged in a big pastry (probably my biggest indulgence since the cleanse). And oh was it so, so good.  I can still taste the sweet and sugary goodness. Mmmmm....

We also grabbed a baguette for dinner and then bopped around Heritage Hill (our favorite neighborhood in all of the city) for a bit.  Did you know that my husband proposed to me in Heritage Hill? He did. When I was living in a funky apartment in a medieval style home, this one to be exact, dating back to 1875.

Then we swung by the old Grand Rapids Public Museum for a photo opp.  I would describe it's extrerior as Art-Deco. Maybe!?!? I'm not much of an architectural whiz.... but that's my two cent analysis.  The thing is... it's on a super busy corner.  I was embarrassed to be taking photos... but the guy that circled the block 2x on his bike past our "photo shoot" and then skidded out in a huge puddle before almost crashing into a car took the edge off.  That's what you get for rubber-necking. Freak!

So do you like my 'four-eyes'? I'm giving some glasses from Warby Parker (the Warby Parker Huxley style, to be exact) a test run. I have five to choose from - I think these are my favorite. But stay tuned to the blog for more options. Natch, I'll want your input.
