Please let me know when you find it, because I am also in a desperate need of a perfect white tee. All the ones I have tried on are thin and stretched out (including couple from J.Crew), so the hunt continues!
There are few articles of clothing I love more than my perfect white tees. When I find one I always buy a couple, because as much as I love my little 2 year old, little orange spaghetti hand prints just won't do!
Hope you find one!!
I don't know about a tight fitting tee, but if you want a looser fit for a different look, I'm in love with just a Hanes Men's v neck. They're super comfy and they seem to go with everything I own. And cheap! Only like $5 or so for a pack of 6! Good luck!
this is more approp for your maternity/motherhood blog but I LOVE the Target v-necks with the little pocket on the chest...I live in them pregnant and postpartum..they are the perfect thickness and stretch...and live through MANY washes...
Maybe the Olsen twins will offer up the perfect t!
Stylemint launches tomorrow. $30 might be a bit steep for a basic t-shirt but I'm curious enough to check it out:

Hi there!
This is my first time commenting, but I must share my secret go-to perfect white tee!
I can't find it on their site, but H&M always has their "basic cotton" section with tons of plain tees, tanks, etc. My FAVORITE is the white scoop neck 3/4 sleeve (it has a slight bit of spandex so it doesn't get stretched out and messy looking)...but WAIT for it...where it BACKWARDS! yes I said BACKWARDS! The tees are tagless and you can't see through the shirt and adds a lil sexy to your plain white tee :)
Styudying that cool green skirt I realized that its a dress! Boo. Still very cool. I have a fitted long sleeve white t-shirt (crew neck but almost a boat neck) made by "Enza" that I love. No idea who sells it since I found it at a thrift store for something like $2.50. I don't know what I'll do when it wears out. :)
Susan, I love men's undershirts! I actually have some!
Sarah, I can't wait for those Tees to launch! I'm on the list and waiting!
Meaghan, I am SO far away from an H&M, but I'll be sure to check next time I am near one!

My favorite white t-shirt was a seriously good find (and bargain!) and totally on accident--I wasn't even looking for it at the time! TJ Maxx--the brand is Cloud Nine. They have long sleeve, short sleeve, crew neck, v-neck, everything. I love it!
However, I could seriously use the skirt this girl has on! i LOVE it!
I just found your blog and it is absolutely adorable!

I found the BEST white tee ever by accident! It's the PureBody long sleeve crew-neck tee from Gap. I'm 5'6" and on the skinny side (125 ish lbs), and I buy them in an XS... I say "them" because I own FOUR. And at ~15$ you really can't go wrong!! They're tight-fitting but if you want a looser look get a size up. The white is somewhat sheer but with a flesh-toned bra it's no problemo! Enjoy... I know I love the PureBody!
I LOVE this outfit! Not only is the white top perfect, but the skirt.. love it!

I just came across a v neck at anthro. LOVE it. a little slouchy since I dont care for anything tight on me. Of course it is thin so I have to wear a tank under it which seems to be the problem with every one I find.
i was going to say j.crew
it's hard with a white t-shirt because i feel that so many of them are too thin and you have to layer other shirts underneath...
let me know when you find one, i've been looking in australia for 5 months, just purchased a long sleeve grey t-shirt today from Gap (just opened in Oz a few months ago)to wear as a layering piece under sweaters, cardigans and with scarves
