Let's talk Fourth of July plans, shall we!  It's time to dish... what are your Fourth of July traditions? Fireworks? Family? Parades? Picnics? Is there a plan in place this year? Are you more of a wing-it type family for Fourth celebrations? I would love to know!  We usually take in the local parade - I can't resist all the homespun floats and of course the kids love all the candy and the fire trucks.  I mean, who doesn't love a good fire truck at a Fourth of July parade?  Then we usually head to the pool for the afternoon to cool off and then attempt a little disco nap before the main event: the fireworks!  I love it all.  It's definitely a day our family looks forward to all year!

This year the Gleason family is switching it up a bit and hitting the road for the holiday week. We are headed to the oceanside and I'm so excited to make some new memories and traditions and see how other communities celebrate the holiday. Summer Pool Essentials 2015!

Can you believe that Memorial Day is only one week away? Since the un-official - but pretty much official - start of the summer is just around the corner I have teamed up with Garnet Hill to make sure we are ready for the season!

As spring makes it's self known slowly and surely (at least here in the Midwest) I've been trying to integrate a few spring wardrobe items into my everyday outfits.  If you layer right a lot of the items you own can be worn for multiple seasons - making your wardrobe (and the money you invest in it) work harder and smarter for you.

With that idea in mind I like to try and think about how the items that I have in my closet can work for the current season and for the upcoming seasons as well.  Here I have featured two spring and summer staples: the denim skirt and a maxi dress, and styled them up for now (spring) and later (summer).
