Not feeling inspired by your winter wardrobe? Not ready to dress for spring yet?
Season-less basics are what is getting me through lately... neutrals are the perfect pieces to mix and match this time of year when winter inspiration is low. Here are a few of my favorites and wish list items...
I don't know about where you live... but up here in Michigan we got absolutely slammed with winter weather this week. And unfortunately, it's here to stay. Gone are the mild winter days of December. Not only is it hard to get out the house or out of bed on these brutally cold days, it's near impossible to get creative in the clothing department. I want simple (and warm!) outfits that don't take a lot of thought, but that still leave me feeling put together. Maybe you feel the same?
Today I pulled together three really easy winter looks to get us through these cold and dark winter mornings. These outfit combos are really easy to recreate with items you may already own, or browse through them for new investment pieces you may want to add to your wardrobe this winter. Either way... I will for sure be recreating these looks in the coming days and weeks. You?
Today I am rounding up what have historically been the top three blog posts here on the blog... and it's no surprise why they have met such success. It's because they embody not only exactly what this blog is all about (simple and classic style) but because they resonate with you, the readers who have the same goals for your wardrobe as well.
Easy wardrobe combinations, classic closet staples and laid back but pulled together style is exactly what these three posts are all about. If you are new around here, I am sure these will become your favorites as well... be sure to visit them and pin images to refer to later. If you are a veteran around here, you have no doubt seen these posts before. However I do believe they are worth revisiting again. Especially at the start of the New Year... I know that one of my goals for 2016 is to continue to refine my wardrobe. Perhaps that is one of your goals for 2016 as well. If so, you are in the right place!
Every now and again I like to bust out a monochromatic look and since I'm not exactly the queen of color these days - neutrals are the way to go. Here I paired cream and camel hues together for a cozy winter monochromatic look and I really liked the result.
Winter has been pretty kind to us so far (except that big 3 foot of snow storm in November, which has since melted) and it's been fun to experiment with two or three layers instead of the standard five to six layers that it seems is necessary to keep warm in winter. It's always surprising to me how warm a vest can be and paired with a cozy sweater and scarf it was nice to be warm enough to ditch a coat for a bit.
It's unofficially officially fall. Which gives me major whiplash and leaves me a little dumbfounded to be honest. Wasn't it just June?
Apparently not. My kids start school today (praise the Lord, hallelujah!) and I'll be busy this week getting caught up on whatever I didn't get done over the past three months of non stop fun and complete indulgence. Which is pretty much everything. So here's to fall and to an "everything" to-do list on a Tuesday that feels like a Monday.
Enter an easy outfit… that's about all I can handle this morning.
Is there one look that always makes you look and feel great? One that instantly puts a little pep in your step?
For me that look is a striped top, jeans and flats. I could wear this type of combination endlessly. Whenever I pull this type of outfit out of my closet I feel like I have the day "off" from deciding what to wear, you know? Keeping this look pulled together and beautiful requires the right under-pinnings as well though right… you know that one bra that looks great with t-shirts and is comfortable to wear all day? Yeah, we ladies need to make sure that we are covered in that department as well.
Kohl's has you covered… with tons of brands and selections and even personalized bra fitting services you are sure to find the perfect bra to go with your favorite outfit. I recently shopped their intimates section and was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful selection.
Hey peeps! Happy Monday! Today we are chatting athleisure and all the nitty-gritty details of my Golden Goose sneakers... I've gotten qu...
