A fresh crop of jeans, sweaters, boots, scarves and jackets are hitting the shelves at your favorite retailers these days... and the icing on the cake is all the new beautiful handbags!  In jewel tones and rich leathers these fall handbags will quickly become the star of any fall outfit.

There are some real swoon worthy pieces here... and my favorite!  Handbag accessories... yep, this season it's all about the bag "charms"!  Tassels, little fur balls and more are the hottest new thing in handbags.  Plus, if you are on a budget these little bag charms are a great way to update an existing bag for fall.

Each fall I love to see what new styles handbag designers have in store for us… I love the moody colors, the great textures and classic shapes re-imagined.   A gorgeous handbag is such an awesome investment in your wardrobe.  A beautiful leather bag will quickly become a staple you can't figure out how you ever lived without before.  When I am investing in handbags I only need one or two a year to round out my wardrobe because a gorgeous handbag should really stand the test of time.

There are few investments for your wardrobe that will last as long or give as much return for the money as a gorgeous handbag. A few years ago I made a promise to myself that I was done buying one-off cheap handbags and that I was going to invest in gorgeous quality handbags, preferably that were leather or other high quality materials, even if that meant owning less handbags or getting to purchase them less often.  It's a decision that I have never regretted especially since now I have a collection (albeit, small and practical) of beautiful bags for any occasion.

Investing in a gorgeous handbag is the way to go in my opinion! Here are a few of my favorites right now…

We all know and love the one-for-one mission behind TOMS shoes (and sunglasses and coffee)… but TOMS is launching a NEW one for one program that I personally am super excited about.  Their new handbag and wallet line offers stylish and practical bags (loving those duffels and backpacks!) and with every TOMS handbag purchase you are providing a birthing kit and training to provide safe conditions for pregnant women and new babies across the world.

I know personally that birthing two babies was kind of a scary experience for me… even with my beloved doctor and husband close at hand in a world class hospital. fall must haves 2014: the hottest handbags!

There is nothing like the thrill of a new handbag in the fall!  When it comes to handbags I really like to go for quality over quantity and invest in a new handbag a couple times a year.  Fall is a great time to switch up your handbag and invest in a new one.  This season beautiful neutrals are where it's at for handbags which makes investing in one so easy because these beauties won't be going out of style any time soon.
