I've got the spring cleaning bug big time right now! I've been on a kick of cleaning out closets and drawers and purging and organizing my heart out. There is for sure a correlation to longer and brighter days with my desire to get our house seriously in check. I've gone through almost every space in our house and the laundry closet was one of the areas that needed some serious organization.
This small but mighty closet holds not only our washer and dryer but lots of back stock items like toilet paper, paper towel, cleaning supplies and of course all of our laundry supplies. This closet gets a lot of use and we are always in and out of it grabbing things. It *was* very organized at one point and it's fallen into chaos over the past year or so. It was really time to get some fresh bins in there and clean it out for good.
I LOVED using The Home Edit for Walmart clear organization solutions for this closet. I love that you can see right into the clear bins to see what you have or what you might need to stock up on. And when the kids are digging in here for the stain treatment or dusting products they are so EASY to see and just grab.
For this project I used two of The Home Edit 5-piece laundry sets which are under $25 each which is such a good price. I used the larger bins for paper products, large laundry bottles and dusting/cleaning supplies. Then I used the smaller bins for dryer sheets, laundry soap, and other fabric treatments. The clear turntables were perfect for holding extra candles (they spin so you can see your entire candle back stock) and some glass bottles for essential oils which makes them so easy to get access. I also supplemented with some additional large bins. My favorite product from the set were these slim bins, they are the perfect size with no space wasted at all. I love that everything from The Home Edit collection works together so easily and looks perfectly uniform. It contains the chaos in style while really making it functional for both the space and our whole family.
I completely emptied the shelves in the laundry closet to start completely from scratch. Let's take a look at how I pulled it all together and then you can see the 'before' photo at the very end... it wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great either (wink, wink!). In the end The Home Edit collection made this closet a dream to open and enjoy. Even my husband said "Wow! Big improvement!"
