my outfit: seeing blue.

Every time I pair this chambray top with jeans I get comments on how I am wearing "denim on denim" (both good and bad comments, mind you...) but chambray is chambray, not denim.  It's blue like denim, sure... but it's very different texture and weave.

But I suppose that is neither here nor there... fabric is fabric.  It is blue on blue. I'll settle for that.  And how about this ONE lone baby blue shipping crate nestled between a sea of beige crates?  I love it.

This outfit is actually inspired by a Jenna Lyons look that I saw on The Sartorialist (here)... have you seen it? She was wearing a chambray top, skinny jeans and black pumps.  But since it's darrrrrn cold here... this is my winter version.  I love this outfit.

Happy Thursday ~ that mean it's Friday tomorrow!

Love the way you wrapped your scarf.
Actually I was just thinking about you this morning. I stood in my closet looking at my clothes and thought, what would Jill wear?
Oh, and I swear there's a feature on wearing denim on denim in the February Lucky. Although, I agree, chambray is not denim.

Others have said it, but holy blue eyes! Your outfit blues, plus the natural light of being outside makes your eyes look amazing! Love the outdoor shots too - tripod or friendly photographer?

I can't wait to get a chambray top. I've been looking for the perfect one, that is also affordable. I feel like denim on denim is okay if they are different colors.

I totally agree with you that denim and chambray are different. I love that shirt and it's the perfect chambray shirt! Perfect color! Wish I had one just like that actually.

holy crap girl! you look beautiful! the first pic is absolutely my favorite. the whole wintry snowy baby blue crate thing is an amazing background for a picture.

oh, this is a fashion blog? so i should probably comment on the fashion? the shirt is so great & i remembered it from the sartorialist! (whose girlfriend's blog is amazing by the way!)

p.s. i love the straight, shiny, ponytail!
