my outfit: the blazer.

Image 245

Today is blazer day on everybody, everywear. (a genius idea that everybody, everywear project is... genius!).  You all know I am a blazer freak... they are simple to throw on and instantly pep up an outfit.  I love me some blazer action.   Speaking of action, this brown one gets LOTS of action in my closet... I've had it for probably about 5 years now, it's starting to get a little worn, but hopefully in a good way.

This is another item in my closet that I have to physically STOP myself from wearing, otherwise I would wear it every day.

Nail polish is silken cord by essie. I know y'all are going to ask.

No, I don't have dandruff. It's snowing WHILE we were taking pictures.  Do you expect anything less?

All I see is snow and pine trees these days.

Snow? Did I mention we have some snow?

No, I did not get highlights... yes, my hair is still light-ish from the "blonde incident".  I'll be dying it again, soon.  Promise.

Pink scarves preeeeeeetty much rock.

Snow anyone?

Love the scarf and great outfit. You are pretty much solely responsible for bringing the blazer back into my closet. :)

Great pics, too. I'm loving the snowy background. We have a TON here, too.

Ooh -- remind me to send you a pic of how I un-conservatized (totally a word) the suit I have to wear for that work event! WIN!

Where do I begin? I love everything about this outfit! I'm so obsessed with stripes lately, so I'm loving your top. Pink is my favorite color, so that scarf is amaze and I want it. I need those boots you're wearing.

And I totally feel you ... I have a Tahari blazer I got at TJMaxx for only 60 that I seriously cannot stop wearing. It's getting ridiculous and I have decided I need to retire it for the time being. I'm actually wearing it in my latest post, but it's time for it to go in hibernation. I just love it so much!!!

Okay, pllllllllease tell me that there's someone out there floating in the same boat as me. I have the hardest time wearing blazers. And layering. I'm large chested (36DD) and not particularly small waisted (size 12 most days), and I just can't seem to wear a blazer without feeling like I'm a linebacker.

So then I get stuck in what I call Cardi-land. I have a closet full of boring ol' cardigans (with the exception of the two amazing ones I bought because of the Wardrobe Consult Jill did for me last summer), boring ol' shirts, and getting-boring ol' accessories.

I absolutely love all these looks that Jill puts together, but I have a horrible time trying to fit them to my body type.

What's a big-busted girl to do? Help!

This is a great way to wear a blazer! And I think you're hair color is pretty!

Red stripes with a hot pink scarf and be-jangly bracelets! What a great way to pep up a tailored jacket. Very fun.

I know I could wear mine everyday too. I love how a structured blazer can makes me look thin, and put together.

I have a hard time wearing blazers and also button up (or as my husband says button down) shirts...they are just so ill fitting on me...but I LOVE THEM! And I LOVE when I see other people wearing them! Maybe I should just wear them anyway...haha. Like the outift...the red and brown are nice colors together.
