Birchbox Review!

I recently signed up for Birchbox after being insanely jealous of what other bloggers found in their boxes each month.  If you aren't familiar with Birchbox, it's a monthly club that sends you a surprise themed box of beauty samples.  It's a really fun way to try out new products and feel pampered once a month!

This month was my first month in the club (I signed up a few months ago and was on a short wait list) and I had heard that it was going to be Gossip Girl themed before it arrived.  So when it landed in my mailbox I was so excited to dig into it!

The May Birchbox contained the following:

Atellier Cologne | Vanille Insensee - this perfume sample is AMAZING.  I'm pretty sure it's my next 'signature scent'.  The "vanille" threw me off because I'm not really drawn to vanilla scents in general, but I would hardly say that is the main note.  It is sexy and sophisticated and definitely very feminine! (plus it came with a fun NYC post card!)

Color Club Nail Polish | in Disco Nap (Gold).  This is a fun gold, very sparkly and almost glittery.

Dr Jart + BB Cream - I've heard people raving about these Beauty Balms (BB's) but never tried one.  This one was tinted a bit and it feels amazing on your skin.  I would definitely buy this in the future after having tried it.

fresh | Sugar Rose Tinted Lip Treatment - again, another product that I might not have tried on my own, but that I am hooked on now.  This is a "sample" size but is a very generous size... I thought it was a full size when I first saw it.  Plus, it has SPF in it which is great for summer! (am I the only doofus that always seems to get a sunburn on my lips!?!?)

twistband | Hair Tie - a perfect elastic for night time as it's doesn't leave any "bumps" in your hair like a normal elastic might.

And what Gossip Girl package would be complete without a signature "xoxo" postcard as well. So fun!

My overall review of the Birchbox program - AMAZING and I highly recommend it.  I know that not everyone gets the same pieces in each box (you answer a survey at the start). But I feel like my $10 was well, well spent on these fun new items to try and use.  As I said, many of these items weren't just "sample" size, but very generous sizing.  Plus, the best part is once you receive your box you also get an email with links to all the products to buy them and helpful beauty videos and tips as well.  Go sign up now!  Or you can give a gift of Birchbox to a friend or sister - wouldn't that be a fun birthday gift!?!?

(this is NOT a sponsored post... just my genuine love for this brand!)
