Fashion Formula: Bold Flats!

Earlier this week I was swooning over these flats (they are for the record still sitting in my "shopping cart" waiting for a moment of weakness). And it got me thinking about a little theory that I have (and I do believe I've mentioned it before) on bold flats. That theory is that these days bold flats paired with neutrals can be the "it" factor of the entire outfit.

Need an example? Here is your fashion formula for bold flats!

Denim

Neutral Top

Bold Flat

I feel a "weakness" coming on. How do you feel about the bold flat?

LOVE it - and very doable for the mom on the run/mommy-to-be!

I like the bold flat, but I LOVE those Gap nautical jeans. As you would say, I feel a moment of weakness coming on! :)

needspark: aren't they great!?!? I think it would be necessary to get them hemmed to the perfect length and they would be even more amazing!

Maria: You're welcome and glad you like the Fashion Formulas! Visiting the preschool will help a ton and then just give yourself some time to get to know them and for them to get to know your family!

Good formula, I like to see what to put with what , I have seen so many "Trendzilla's" out there so this is a way of wearing one trend and looking stylish. The trendzilla's need to read your blog. Thank you again for the great job on my Express Consult. I spread the word so hopefully you will be getting more followers in the future, kathysue

I love flats, even though I'm short already, but they are just so much more comfortable. Especially now that I'm using metro transit for my commute and have to hike from bus to train to home... shoes that I can walk in are a MUST. And if they are punchy and make a statement? Even better.

Thanks so much for including different cuts of jeans! Really helps me figure out what MY best look could be!

LOVE the bold flats. Perfect for a mommy (or really anyone) who doesn't want to wear heels all day, and an easy way to add some color and interest to an otherwise boring outfit. I've got red patent and leopard print flats (in addition to basic black and brown). Still searching for some great gold (and maybe silver too).

Thanks... I now have an Imogen Heap (or maybe Frou Frou) song in my head.
Yay for trendy flats, though. At 5'10" I already feel like a giraffe.

I love the sequence top and the first pair of flats with the ankle strap. (If I had skinny ankles, I'd totally rock them!) But they are awesome.

Thanks for the comment & Happy Halloween :D

Jessica
