I'm obsessed right now with any style that will work for me now AND as we go into the spring... Hunter boots or wellies are a great winter to spring wardrobe piece!  You are going to need something to keep your feet dry when all this snow starts melting!  And of all the questions I get, the number one question seems to be "how to style Hunter boots?"

So here you go... some fun and simple ideas for styling your wellies or Hunters!

Jill,

Thank you for this post! I just recently bought my first pair of wellies and was wondering what to pair them with. I needed them for all the snow and rain we have been getting here in New England.

I LOVE the look of the Hunter boots but they are pricey for shoes that are going to most likely get wet and yucky. I found a great look a-like pair at Walmart of all places. You can't beat $22!! ;)

You can see them here:

I love my Hunter boots. I like to pretend they go with everything even though it's painfully obvious if I wanted that to be true I shouldn't have bought them in Green. Thanks for the tips.

GREAT post! I've been considering getting some of these boots but not been sure about their versatility.
Thanks for this!

I love this post! I just bought my Hunters in January! I went with the Navy - Gloss & am SO HAPPY that I did! I almost bought cheaper boots - but am really glad that I suck with the true Hunters - Yes, expensive. But to me SO worth it. I've already gotten a ton of wear out of them!

I love the Hunters Boots. Think I'll invest in me a pair!

LOVE my Hunter boots and I wear them exactly like I would wear regular boots (which is why I chose the black). I even put them under boot cut pants - those pictures will come after the 30/30 is up - lol! They are very different (and much more wearable) than a patterned rainboot, in my experience. Those blue ones are fun, though :o)

I have a black pair of Hunter boots. And, I hate to complain about the lack of rain here in California lately, but I want to wear those girls!

I usually wear black skinny pants or jeans, a khaki trench and a simple black top. Pretty boring, huh?

I like your looks, especially the third one...I should have been daring and bought fire engine red ones.

Have you seen the fold-over socks Hunter makes? I bought a pair in cable knit black, but I really prefer just wearing my Hunters the way they are.

Love your blog...

Love the red pair and the combo.

Even living in Seattle, I couldn't justify buying rain boots that are so spendy. Luckily I did find some knock offs at TJ Maxx, here is how I styled mine recently!

There is also a Mom at my son's preschool who wears her (real) Hunters with tunic dresses, leggings, and puffer vests - it is super cute.

I love the second outfit, it's so funky. I have a bold, and vintage style so it would be perfect for me.

I live in Vancouver and wellies are a staple for winter wear. It's amazing how many gorgeous varieties there are but for warmth and protection nothing beats Hunter.

I've been eyeing up some wellies (I've been resisting), but this is just enough inspiration to help me take the plunge!
