my outfit: orange scarf!

There's nothing like a pop of bold color as a gentle reminder that winter won't last forever.

I'll be the first to admit that the cold, cloudy days that compile one upon the other these days aren't doing much for my mood. I seem tired, uninspired and crabby. So I try to keep some pep in my step with my clothes... this outfit made me feel comfortable, put together and chic at the same time. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't breaking any fashion records or anything. But the ensemble fit my personal style to a t.

And really, isn't it all really about personal style any way? You have to find what makes you feel best.

Notice that my dove necklace made another appearance. It's simple and I love it. So for now, it's not coming off.

I love that you added that "pop" of orange! I agree that you need to keep up your spirits with all these cold winter days! I am going to give it a try! Thanks.

Most of the scarves I've seen on here don't have that Knitted look. Do you suggest scarves that are knit? I have a great one from Charlotte Russe and can't figure out how to pull it off--it doesn't look as chic and pulled together as yours do. Perhaps knit ones are only for outside wear???

Most of my scarves are woven, not knit. If they are knit, they are a very fine guage. Woven scarves (think the texture of a white button up top) vs Knit scarves (think a sweater) is just a matter of texture. I prefer woven scarves as they hold their shape better and tend to be less heavy... does that make sense?

Thanks for the comments!
