good LOOK for less: Maggie, hip blogger with a casual work environment!

When Maggie wanted tips on how to update her wardrobe for the summer I was very excited to help! Here is how she explained what her needs were:

My budget might be more like $350. I'm a classic hourglass shape (so no superflimsy tops and A-line skirts are a go-to). I'm kind of a J Crew girl. Classic/preppy style that is feminine with a touch of ethnic/hippy details (ie cool pattern, funky earrings, etc). I'm also 5 ft 1 in, so bottoms that come in petite are helpful! I look great in blues and greens. Prefer black or gray to white.

I'd really like a mix-and-match of stuff that is work appropriate but could transition to the weekend without much trouble. I have a cute pair of black shorts but that's been my only summer purchase. I've been in a jeans and tee rut at work and feel a little sloppy (we're on the casual side of business casual, but I like to look nice).

So with all of this in mind... I came up with the following shopping list! The jeans and black shorts I included in lieu of the pairs she already owns. So those were integrated into the outfits, but not the budget! For $350 I was able to come up with 18 new wardrobe pieces and 6 outfits (although the mix and match possibilities seem endless!) This is what the shopping list looks like:

With these items here are just a few of the outfits I came up with for Maggie...

As a follow-up, here is what Maggie had to say about the outfits:
These are so fun! I really love the python sandals and anthro skirt. Plus I already have a black cardigan so that puts you under budget! I especially love outfits 2, 3, and 5. They are that perfect mix of casual and put-together that I'm striving for. I'm so happy you fit in some funky accessories with the classic wardrobe pieces. The outfits
are current but not grossly trendy. Thank you so much! Can't wait to do some shopping :)

THANK YOU Maggie for letting me help you out! Always a pleasure...
