my outfit: red, thank you.

My weekly episode of "let's get Grand Rapids familiar with red pants" went better than expected this past week.  I wore them to church and while hanging out by the decaf coffee at the coffee bar at the super early service... I found about five other women with bold red pants or skirts on.

I know, like absolute success.... right!?!?

Yeah, except that the pant and skirt lengths led me to believe that Talbots may have released a pair of red bottoms about 10 or so years ago.  Hmmmm.  Put it this way - my age group was not well represented among the fellow red-pant-wearers.  Keep in mind decaf coffee at the early service - I'm a geriatric in a 30-somethings body apparently.  At least I hope to have made their day... "Did you see red pants are coming back?" they will say to their gal pals at the early bird special at Russ' later this week.

What can I say? I'm breaking down barriers here people.  Breaking them right down.

The only question now is where should I wear them next...

Details:
Sunglasses, Forever 21 (similar)
Sweater, H&M (similar)
Necklace, c/o KUTE Clothes

Ha - early bird special at Russ'! That makes me miss my hometown a little... I always find it amusing to compare how many people are at restaurants at 5pm in Holland vs. my current town :)

Love this version of a red pants ensemble - the browns look great with them.

Oh yeah, rock those pants with the 80 year olds girl! I am in the same boat where I live-some of the trendier items I like or want to try out would probably make me stick out like a sore thumb. But who cares as long as you love what you are wearing?

Very cute outfit! I love red pants. I haven't seen red in a long time around here. Love the cute ballet flats too!

I love the red pants! I live in Tampa Florida and its very laid back here, seems that people dont really follow the trends too much and when they do its more along the line of flip-flop or bathing suit trends...

Sometimes I go all out in my "trendy" stuff and then other times I scale it down... just depends... I love your red pants though, I am going to have to look for a pair :)

Love those red pants, esp. with the little animal print flats. Very cute! Some color on the lower half shouldn't be confined to the nursing home crowd!

Haha, you have a great sense of humor! I have that sweater in the white/off white color and have been wearing it in a really casual way but you just inspired me to dress it up a bit! Did you cut off the hanger strap? It's starting to annoy me....

I am DYING for a pair of red pants, and cannot for the life of me find any that aren't J Brand $185. I don't really want to spend $185 on red pants, because knowing me, I'll be tired of them a year from now. My sis even got me a pair from Zara for my bday, but alas, they were WAAAAY too small. RAWR! Yours, howevs, look fab.

merci!
