my outfit: warm and fuzzy!

Is it possible to wear faux fur and keep it casual? I tried just that last weekend and I think it worked out quite well...  the only awkward moment was when I ran into my coat's twin at Pier 1 in the form of a throw pillow. "Awkward" as my 6 year old son would say (he does air quotes with that too, by the way).

Then we headed downtown for hot dogs (6 year olds love hot dogs... and not just from any old joint... they need specific hot dogs from specific restaurants).  The river was so calm and looked like glass, it was so pretty... especially since this particular river can really get raging this time of year with snow melting etc.

Except on this day you can see that the snow was less melting and more just falling.  Makes for the fun 'dandruff' pictures... no, it's not dandruff or fuzz or a dirty lens - it's snow.

I figure since it's almost spring now (please weather, I'm ready!!!) that I should start wearing some of my winter-only pieces like this jacket.  This jacket and maybe this pair of boots will be the only thing I will miss once spring arrives, promise.
