my outfit: warm and fuzzy!

Is it possible to wear faux fur and keep it casual? I tried just that last weekend and I think it worked out quite well...  the only awkward moment was when I ran into my coat's twin at Pier 1 in the form of a throw pillow. "Awkward" as my 6 year old son would say (he does air quotes with that too, by the way).

Then we headed downtown for hot dogs (6 year olds love hot dogs... and not just from any old joint... they need specific hot dogs from specific restaurants).  The river was so calm and looked like glass, it was so pretty... especially since this particular river can really get raging this time of year with snow melting etc.

Except on this day you can see that the snow was less melting and more just falling.  Makes for the fun 'dandruff' pictures... no, it's not dandruff or fuzz or a dirty lens - it's snow.

I figure since it's almost spring now (please weather, I'm ready!!!) that I should start wearing some of my winter-only pieces like this jacket.  This jacket and maybe this pair of boots will be the only thing I will miss once spring arrives, promise.

Ahh, I love your jacket. Up close, you can see the detail and I love it more. My four year old loves hot dogs too. Kids love the basics.

Love the jacket! Even though our weather is much milder here in NC it's still so unpredictable...one day short sleeves and flip flops...they next day 30 degrees cooler and it's sweaters and coats! Crazy!

I love the jacket. I wore my faux fur vest yesterday because I wanted to wear it more because winter is almost over.

Lolz about running into the coat's twin! You manage to rock that coat while many others (including myself) probably couldn't. You go girl!

It's already starting to get warm here in Texas. I was just thinking how if I want to wear any leggings and boots one last time I better do it now before it gets too late. Although I am afraid it may already be past that point. We've been in the 70s for a while now. Your jacket is super cute, I don't know if I could pull that off but it looks very good with your hair color!

Love the fur against stark white. I am inspired. The pillow sighting is funny. I can just imagine your son with the air quotes. :)

good.clean. fun. - the socks are a couple years old from Urban Outfitters... they are nice and thin which makes them more comfy to pull OVER the jeans. I hope you can find some, they are tricky to find!
