my outfit: lots of layers...

I'm super behind on posting this outfit... I wore it last weekend.  This outfit was perfect weekend wear for a sunny, albeit a little chilly, day.  Lots of easily shed-able layers that don't include my big puffer coat (that I have been LIVING in this winter) was just what I needed.

Plus, I have been more than excited to bust out the TOMS after a long winter without. I personally have not figured out how to wear TOMS with socks and have them not look super dorky.  Have you? So they have been in hibernation.  But now they are back and I couldn't be more excited.  They are so perfect for  simple style and lots of walking.

I'm not a big hoody gal, but when I bought this last spring or summer (or!?!?) I specifically remember promising myself that I could only buy it on one condition - I had to dress it up cute and not just "hoody" it. (You know, just with jeans and a tee... day after day after day).  So I have followed through on my promise.

A few of you have asked about the spring looks:book!  So here's the deal... I'll have a better idea of a launch date in a few weeks, but what I DO know is that the book will be a combined spring & summer issue.  After doing the looks:book for one whole year (one for each season!) I noticed that sales were strongest for spring and fall.  And since I am not Super Woman (really.) I am going to hopefully make the looks:book a stronger product for the consumer (you!) and a simpler project for the creator (me!) by condensing the seasons.  It will still COMPLETELY rock, of course, don't you worry your pretty little head about that dears.

Details:

Blazer & Hoody, Gap (similar & similar)
Henley Top, JCrew (similar)
Jeans, Seven for all Mankind (similar)
Watch, Michael Kors

These snow photos are making me cold girl! Jeez when will it all start to melt? I feel for you. Love olive paired with peach-such a pretty combo. And sad news, I have managed to wear a hole in the toes of my TOMS. Probably because I practically wear them all day every day, and the material on mine was a thinner weave than the regulars I think. Boo. They were my faves.

I love Toms, but I'm with you - they don't work with socks!

I would have no idea how to wear Toms with socks, either. You did a great job styling them, here. Love the cropped jeans look with them! And I bought myself a grey hoodie in the fall, but have fallen short of ideas for styling- thanks for this one! :)
