my outfit: 3/30, 4/30 & 5/30 !

30 for 30 Banner

Are you ready for some rapid fire outfits? Since I am taking daily outfit photos for the 30/30 challenge... I have some catching up to do!

3/30:

In some ways I find the 30/30 challenge to be easy... it's a smaller palette from which to choose my outfits everyday. I'm also excited about some of my favorite items getting some serious playtime in my daily life. We'll see as the challenge progresses if I feel the same way. I've already looked longingly at a few pieces that got "left out" of the 30. Maybe it will be a case of "absence makes the heart grow fonder...." - only time will tell.

It's a mystery to me why these jeans haven't shown up in my outfits yet. I snagged them at F21 a while ago for super cheap and I love that they have little zippers at the ankles and they are super tight and super stretchy a la jeggings, which I have been wanting a pair of. So they are a win-win for me.

4/30:

I think it's remotely comedic that I get all sneaky when it comes time for outfit photos... usually I try to sneak them in when everyone is busy or not paying attention. But, as warned, if I am taking pictures every day... this gets tricky. My kids of course had to sneak in for the picture. And proudly so.

This outfit was "phoning it in" a bit for me... jeans, tee and wedges. Duh! So easy. But all I was planning on was some work and some last minute errands for the birthday girl. This is pretty cute for phoning it in... I do declare. I will be repeating this again soon. I hardly felt like I got dressed!

5/30:

If you follow me on Twitter you will know that this weekend the family headed down to the local-schmocal race tracks. This is what I wore. It was actually a work function for my husband so we had access to a private deck and tons of grilled food. If you have a local race track I highly recommend heading there for a night of unexpected all-American fun, earplugs, cheap beer and thrills and spills! I would, however, NOT recommend you wear white pants. But, whatever, we (the pants and I) are no worse for the wear. I would also recommend access to a private deck, it was pretty "clutch" - ha! excuse the auto reference.

Of course, as some suspected I was maybe a touch overdressed - but how can a gal be overdressed with a can of Miller Lite in hand? I also fielded comments like: Did your husband just drag you here? People... this may not be my "thang" - but I am always up for some classic fun... plus, does this look like a gal that's not having fun???
