making spirits bright...

One of my favorites "tasks" of the holiday season is picking out the wrapping paper scheme. Yes, scheme. Usually I like to pick out three various styles that are all complementary to one another without being to "matchy". Then of course there are bows and bow styles to be chosen and lastly, the gift tags. The Container Store has beautiful and bold styles that will match your tree, your living room and your style! Here's some of my favorites:

This wrap is modern and sophisticated for the adults on your list and fun and whimsical for the children as well! So cute!

I like the idea of pairing it with a beautiful satin ribbon to balance the whimsy with the classic.

Then finish it off with one of the adorable reindeer tie-on tags and voila! The look is complete!

How do you like to wrap your gifts under the tree?

Your wrapped gifts are going to look so fresh and festive! I have always loved the color combination of powder blue and chocolate brown, and that pop of red is the perfect accent for Christmas. Those reindeer are the perfect gift topper. Thanks for sharing this idea with those of us who are participating in Melissa's holiday fun over at The Inspired Room!

I'm afraid I don't take as much time as you do to make a pretty package, but I do appreciate getting them.

Oh that sounds like everything will be beautiful. We're following a scheme that I'm writing about on my blog, too. It's not as pretty, I have to admit... but it's all handmade. I need to remember your color choices!

I, too, enjoy lovely wrapped presents! My Mom was the best ever at them. *Ü* Thanks for sharing your ideas. Enjoy the season!

I think your dot wrapping paper is beautiful and it would look great in my colorful house, but I always have to buy something a little traditional for the kids. So, we have a wonderful mix under our tree!

pretty but too pricey for us. the dots would be easy to replicate on plain paper and an less expensive bow could be made from lots of other materials.
who doesn't like polka dots!!!
